With the latest scandal exposed about the Administration, one would think that the citizens would wake up to the destructive game being played by the leaders of the White House and Senate. But, there are still many who have put their heads in the sand. The nation is failing under a tyrannical stance, with many still supporting the destruction. Could it be that the nation is filled with communists?

"Most people screaming about communism in this country have no earthly idea what they are talking about."
No truer thing has ever been said.
Bravo! Christin!! Here..Here! YOU are a woman of courage and substance, with an excellent head on her shoulders....speaking truth & common sense....and knowing precisely HOW to say it!! Great!!!!!
You stole my question :( I hear many people talking of communism and how so many Americans are communists. I would like for them to define the term, because if they think the current administration is communist it shows they don't understand the term
Making government the center of the universe, redistribution of wealth, government healthcare, fairness & equality issues, division...it is all socialist agenda.
communist - an individual who believes in a system of social organization in which all economic and social activity is controlled by a totalitarian state dominated by a single and self-perpetuating political party.
Congratulations on the definition you pulled out of a FOX News cracker jack box.
Divisive methods, attacks on the Constitution, moving things under government control...it all defines a march to socialism which is only a water-hole on the way to communism. Socialism always fails...eventually.
When Freedom Loving Patriots begin to follow the creation of a tyrant government through unconstitutional means, communism and socialism is abound.
Do not mistake communism and socialism with fascism. What Wayne describes is Fascism not communism and not socialism.
No Democratic country has ever fallen to communism, it just can't. But YES when we speak of Fascism or Dictatorships. Cuba!
I am with you! I guess sometimes it is best just remember that a lot of what is written about politics on Hubpages attracts people with like minds... and of course they agree with each other. But their is a whole other side that thinks differently..
Justsilvie, Thanks! Just went to your hubs - I had forgotten how much I loved Molly Ivins until I saw you have a hub about her. Gotta read your pieces. Cheers to you, Billie. I guess we all need our peeps :)
instead of being enraged - I suggest you get engaged. All citizens must begin to demand the government operate within the boundaries of the Constitution or the nation will perish..
the difference with this question is that when I asked it of Bush - everyone agreed. Now the majority just attack - idolatry has taken over common sense.
I agree with this very intelligent comment. Our form of Government IS the best in the world for all the reasons stated. There is no reson for me to add or comment further. So far you apprear to have won best comment on this question.
if the nation operated under constraints of the Constitution, then I would wholly agree. However, recent elections have proven that our electoral system is failing us. illegal votes brought us to this point - Germany-Russia began the same way.
The new era of "conservatives" that are more right wing radicals than true conservatives only thrive on promoting fear and paranoia. Notice they never propose actual solutions to problems.
Wait, Bush started a war with the wrong country under false pretenses with false evidence and you're getting all high and mighty now?
well Jeff, you obviously like the trillions spent with no gain. and even more to come as the wild spree continues to place more debt upon each citizen. doomsday may be your idea of freedom - but it definitely is not mine.
No, I really didn't like the trillions spent with no gain (except perhaps for Halliburton and the financial industry execs). Oh, wait, you were trying to claim that the current administration hasn't got the economy back on track, weren't you? Oops.
5 trillion on the Feds balance sheet has produced GDP exp that has not cracked 2.5% and shrinking and the smallest labor force participation rate we've seen since 1977 is not a success by an measure. Both the monetary and fiscal policy are failing.
When people continue to support leadership that utilizes their power to deny advancement to others, attack people with opposing views, and create policy to restrict freedom, they are speeding toward socialism and communism.
McCarthy lives. Because we do not like a tyrant gov. does not mean it is Communist.
You just exactly described the Republican party.
Or the Democrats when they are in the same power position
S,exactly. As Dr. Lakoff, linguistics prof at Berkeley examined, words such as "scandal" are purposely perpetrated to be picked up by the media. It's a clever trick that sways people.Even un-biased news pick up the vocab 'n its use becomes ubiquitous
wow - what a fantasy world you describe, yet the real world is an unprecedented mess due to the lies and hidden agendas. I for one sure hope the citizens of the US wake up from their fantasy soon or when they do the country will be gone..
Sorry MizBejabbers - the 40 years you speak of was not a "get well", but a "get destroyed empathy" period. Citizens run the nation - not the politicians in government who steal from those who work to give to those who don't.
You really need to go back and study that period you speak of....it froth journalistic error and false labels assigned to the man who had the courage to raise the question.
taburkett, your question calls those of us who don't agree with you "communists". I visited Russia once while on a European tour, so I certainly know the difference. Apparently you don't. In the first place, you are mistaking socialism for communism.
MizBejabbers - you obviously have a problem deciphering my question. It does not state that you are communist-it asks if they are communists. You vacationed in Russia-I studied Russia for defense. Their façade is a great one. Transparent-not
Sorry, but you intimated that anyone who supports the Obama administration is a communist. Read your own question again. If a=b and b-c, then a=c.
AMEN - Kathleen
when one does nothing to change the destruction - one becomes the same as the destroyers.
We all still have a right to vote. We get the gov't we deserve.
yes, citizens do have the right to vote. however, during recent elections, citizens have been intimidated by many groups who wish to destroy the nation. We must also recognize those great voting districts that voted above 100%.
There was certainly a degree of fraud, but not enough to sway the election. Republicans nominated a fairly liberal guy and the evangelicals and other conservatives stayed home. And enough people are dumb enough to vote for soaring rhetoric.
Landmark Wealth: Those are honest and intelligent comments from a conservative. I thank you for your analysis.
LandmarkWealth - in Ohio it has been shown that over 10,000 absentee ballots were mailed simultaneously, 376,000 new voters were registered in less than 3 weeks in 17 precincts - this smells of fraud to me.
I don't deny their is likely a very strong degree of voter fraud. But not enough to change the outcome. Obama lost about 8 million votes from 2008. The base didn't turn out because Romney was not a real Conservative. Way too liberal.
it is time for the citizens to stand tall and demand change-we heard the promise-but it has never been the current agenda. further destruction is underway- so it is time for positive change. Impeach Now. I made same statement of Bush.
This truly is the best answer.
I agree, too. I just changed from Democrat to Republican because of it.
yes - the idol worship has taken a very big toll. Jesus warned us of such and now with all the attacks on Christians, we see the flow of idolatry at work creating the worst crisis for the nation.
Uh, let's see. Jesus wore long hair and sandals and was the original proponent of social welfare. Remember him telling the rich to give away their goods to the poor and follow him
Jesus was an advocate of helping those in need. But he did not preach placing such authority in gov't to distribute such resources. Which is why Conservatives prefer to give money to charity and not the central planners.
Jesus said something to the effect of "render unto God what is God's and unto Caesar what is Caesar's". Sounds like he wouldn't have made a good member of the Tea Party.
Did that statement imply that what was Caesars, was the ability to impose taxes for the purpose of political theft and redundant excessive waste ? Because that is what our Gov't routinely does. Actually he was condemned for tax resistance by P Pilate
Landmark, please show your basis for this comment. I can't find Pontius Pilate connected with taxes. My KJV says that he was accused and crucified for claiming to be the King of the Jews, which to which he replied "Thou sayest".
Luke 23: 1-4 "Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, "We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ/Messiah...a King."
"4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I FIND NO FAULT in this man."
Correct, the Jewish leaders pressured Pilate to ultimately persecute him. But the context of the statement 'Render unto Caesar" was for lack of a better phrase mocking the image of Caesar on a coin. Not an endorsement of taxes.
I grew up in a Southern Baptist Convention Church and they taught us that it meant Jesus advocated paying our tithes and our taxes. Guess the largest church in America is wrong. Pity, just can't trust the church anymore!
It's a bit more complex and not enough words are permitted. This is a good interpretation from a historical context. The common good is what is in question which is rarely represented by tax $
thanks for the insight. you are right on with your evaluation of the situation. it seems that few have the ability to recognize the demise of the nation.
the question was raised - not to insult, but as a means to determine why people still support a destructive government. too bad so many want to name themselves based on a question. this is why the young folks of America fail at all levels.

Stars, (you truly match your hub name) Very well-said! I'm with you.
Stars - there are very few decisions that need to be made to have a country. Especially when the country was generated by true statesmen through creation of the Constitution. However, politicians wish we would believe they need to command.
then the nation is just what you have decided to "take". A criminal in charge and the commies on the way.
What crime(s) has Obama committed?? Are you serious? And commies are on the way? From where? Mexico? Haha! From among Americans? Then they're still Americans and a part of what defines us as a culture and a nation, no matter how miniscule.
I sure hope you are correct about the government being corrected.
Wow what a respectful way to speak about your own son. You think you win people over to your side by sucking up the conservative fear mongering koolaid then?
Well, your son must be an insightful, astute fellow, and an excellent writer to boot! Folks like him are the future.
Not particularly interested in winning people over to my side because that's not likely to happen no matter what side one is on. Just answering the question and making an observation. It's interesting, though, how each stereotypes the other.
I think you nailed it with stating how unaware and un-involved Americans are today. You would think that in today's age of technology and social media, more people (like Jeff) would have a clue. ChristinS, we don't have kool aid, we have the truth.
Bob makes a good point. I think much of America has turned a blind eye to what government is doing.
To have a son who thinks for himself is something to be proud of. Congrats.
well - Bob, sounds like your son may be somewhat strained by the "new education" system where all is politically correct for the undeserving. Oh, he must recognize that the audacity of schemes have made strange bedfellows of enemies.
I don't want to be disrespectful either, but I'm with you K. Sometimes we just have to be courageous and fight such illogical thinking by saying what we feel.
One first must make the capitalist system fail before the socialism can really become palatable to the masses. Marx saw socialism as only a temporary step in the march toward a communist society. Obama has a socialist agenda which is not failing.
too bad you are not offended by the government that is failing to abide by the Constitution. obviously you are only offended when someone disagrees with your point of view. ignorance is definitely at work in the nation so communism is winning.
What people on welfare and public assistance to you know that live grand lavish lifestyles? This is another propaganda talking point designed to deflect attention away from the actual crooks on Wall street.
Also, this far Leftist administration has done well to divide people along class lines. I have and never will trust these far Leftist activists who hurt American influence.
I see plenty of people on government assistance who have a much higher standard of living than I do. I see it on a daily basis. In fact, just about every time I visit the grocery store.
Christin S I spent 10 years in retail grocery. I dealt with customers on welfare daily, let me tell you something, many of these people abuse the system. They have it down to a science on how not to work and keep benefits. They don't want to leave
Christin, this is an exercise in futility. All you can do is be sure that you walk with grace and generosity in the world and raise your children to be understanding, kind heart-ed and able to see through thinking that is fear-based and illogical.
I got buddies that live on the street --- really down in a canyon. They get up and get to work, scavenging all day long. They got cool tents set up and modified bikes. Most have VA but do not game the system for food.
It is not about lavish living...most of us who work do not live that way either. It is about what we can and cannot afford as a nation.
yep, a friend told me that greed is the seed, and politics is the fertilizer..........
great assessment. we need more individuals with this attitude.
