A PPP (Public Policy Policy) poll just released reported these ASTOUNDING results. Fully 29% of Louisiana Republicans blame President Obama for the terrible response to the 2005 Hurricane Katrina that devastated that state and Mississippi ... 29%! Further, 44% didn't know who to blame! Only 28%, one percent less than Obama, got the answer right by picking President Bush. How is this strange outcome explained?

Because I am a conservative does not make me stupid any more than it makes you stupid for not being conservative. It means we differ in opinion.
Nothing personal BG1960, but if almost 30% of GOP in LA blame Obama for something that occurred before he took office, that is stupid. I speak of the viral rightwinger not the mainstream conservative type, who I believe would know better?
I think it speaks more to the education system than it does ideology.
The detail is that those between 18-45 got it right 33%, those over 65, only 24%. Ger getting it wrong, it was 17% for 18-45, and 42% for over 65. 23% of women got it right, 37% got it wrong. For men it was 32% right and 30% wrong.
What I am looking to see is if they asked the same question of Dems.
The actual question is "Who do you think was more responsible for the poor response to Hurricane Katrina: George W.Bush or Barack Obama?" I will give a more detailed result in a different comment, they are interesting.
But to say it says something about Republicans in General is foolish. I could show a million man on the street interviews like these. Howard has fun with them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoseyTAPBjM
