Would you vote for a truthful politician?

It appears to me that people vote for politicians strictly by there sound bites and ethnicity. Does the character and truthfulness of a politician mean anything anymore? Do you vote for yourself or for country?

Honesty, Character, and Truthfulness are hard to find anywhere anymore.

I think you are only looking at those in national offices or high offices in large state. In many communities, being a politician is really a part time job. We often disagree with politicians. They does not mean they are corrupt, maybe just wrong.
