The mightiest argument against the institution of marriage and family is, as I view it, the fact that the individual vis-a-vis society is insignificant. An individual's capacity is too limited to match up to the big task of discharging his or her matrimonial (or familial) duties & responsibilities. This shows that families in general are resting on very shaky foundation. I don't think it becomes a civilised human of the 21st century to indulge in the luxury of marriage and family, a luxury that I view as silly, senseless, useless, barbaric, and obnoxious. What values approve of such things?
