My thoughts exactly Frog. Mr President already said his plan is going to skyrocket our electric bill so whats the point of dangerous lighting to save money?
Gonna be really ugly in chandeliers too I imagine....
I share your fears and I feel very offended it was not the American people to decide this but men in power making themselves and others rich and I have the oddest feeling they are not living under florescent lighting!
Thx, that is some good info we may all need. I have stocked up pretty good the last couple of days. I don't think light bulbs really run that much electric or that is what I have always heard from the experts and look at the ungreen of mercury lights
Thank you. Time will tell.
In what manner? We are advised to dispose of them in a special manner and not expose ourselves to what's inside. That worries me.
Yes it does me too, for I know of no place to dispose of them, I do know they are to be kept from children and not to go into trash and the landfills. None of them talk about this and the danger if broken.
Florescent; bad for the eyes, I am going to avoid them as long as I can. Wow, better be looking tomorrow, huh? lol Oh and don't forget they have mercury I think in them and need special disposal; shouldn't have around children. Danger if broken.
Oh really. We like them because they do not get so hot. We use the soft lighting and they do not seem like florescent though. At work, that is all they use of course! It uses less than half of the electricity, i.e., a 100 watt bulb would be 40 W
Well I think they should have given us a choice until they came up with something safer. My daughter-in-law gave me a big box of them since they never have to buy bulbs so I will check them out for the lighting but it is true they do not alert people
