What is the future of the United States?

I think I am getting old. I am starting to think my parents did and when I was kid I thought they were crazy. So where are we headed? What is the younger generations plans for the union? Economical? Security? Job Bases?

The future of tne United States is great. The
future is in the hands of every parent that  teaches their children the right ways of living. Eduction , religion, good principles, and love for one to another  is important in anyone's mind. Respecting others and  a good treatment is the key to a well manner society.

That would be great, but what percentage of people are those parents and what percent are the parents that really don't care. You have to admit there many kinds of parents and some are not ideal.

Economical,  this country is doing good for those that are honest and are smart, and  they are legal to work. Also, people need to up date their careers to compete with the new technology. New jobs require new training.  Some jobs are subsidiary .

    Perception is reality.
I believe the future will be much like the past. Some people will be very happy with their lives and others will be very frustrated and unhappy. In truth the "good ole days" have never ever been good for 100% of the people! Those who did well will romanticize the past by stating it was all good.
Even today when a lot of people are complaining about the state of the union the children playing on the playgrounds and participating in school activities or living on college campuses, and falling in love for the first time will consider this to be a great time to be alive!
    Once again "perception is reality"
I expect there will be lots of technological advances that most of us today could not imagine. We are going to put a man on Mars. The vast majority of people will own electric or battery powered cars, there will be a rise in employees working remotely from home, Degrees from reputable online college programs will garner nearly as much respect as attending physical campus. New millionaires and billionaires will continue to be younger and younger as more technological products are invented.
Political disagreements will continue between political parties and there will be "shocking news" from time to time having to do with criminal behavior, scandals, and bad weather. However there will also be inspirational stories about people helping people, overcoming difficulties, and living fulfilling lives.

Very nicely said. Your statement of perception is reality makes a lot of sense. But, even though that may be true, couldn't true reality turn for the worse or the better for that matter and some may not see it until its too late?

True, but they're always people who are having a great time while others are unhappy. Someone's on a beach in Cancun in sunglasses, watching the waves, sipping on cocktails and listening to music on their iPod right now. For them life is good! :-)
