In reply to your comment below, Scots do not hate the English. That is a myth perpetuated by the media. And Braveheart has nothing to do with the referendum.
@lions44, Scotland has a healthy industrial base with a GDP averaging 99% compared to the rest of the UK.
The Scottish NHS is a separate entity and always has been.
We have separate legal and education systems, and always have done.
There are plans for our own army, navy and airforce.
We will be entitled to the income from all oilfields which lie within Scottish territorial waters which is 95% of them. Nice little cherry on top.
Have watched the polls with slight puzzlement. The Yes campaign is the biggest grassroots campaign Scotland has ever seen. Everywhere, it seems, there are more than twice as many people planning to vote Yes than vote No.
Then there was the poll that the government hid. Someone working for Ipsos-Mori, the pollsters, wrote a letter to the one newspaper in Scotland prepared to publish anything positive for the indy movement, saying that the Yes vote was soaring.
We have never seen those results. The only poll that really counts is the one of the 18th of September.
