Sadly, NO.   Obama does not really care about America nor Americans.  He only cares about his agenda.  He schmoozed the American public regarding how he would change America and how he as president will consider the people's needs and wants.  He did this in order to get into office to push his particular agenda.  He has broken promise after promise.   He indicated that if people were happy with their particular healthcare, then they can retain that healthcare.  However, many low cost healthcare plans are no more because of Obama"care."

There was the Benghazi scandals where American soldiers were killed and the constant cover up.   Obama hates America and continues to put Americans under the bus.   There is a massive socioeconomic crisis in America; however, Mr. Obama consistently fails to address or remedy it.   He creates crises in order to divert from the main issues affecting Americans.   One can aptly state that Obama does what it takes NOT to protect Americans.  This has been proved time and time again, the latest fiasco is the amnesty program regarding the influx of illegals coming to this country.  With Obama as a president, Americans do not need an enemy.

By all means. The President of The United States is right there next to Karl Marx when it comes to protecting American freedoms and  the American people. He holds steadfast to Constitutional restraint and to the principle of the separation of powers. I have never seen an American President with such resolve, such passion to instill in the people a sense of pride and love of country. Why, just recently he honored a deserter; in the Rose Garden no   less. Not since Benedict Arnold, a decorated war hero, have we had such a demonstration of American patriotism and devotion.
Now, I ask you, who else would return five top level enemy commanders, back to the enemy in a time of war? What compassion. Now, some mind you would consider this an act of treason, but they obviously do not have the overall picture, as does Congress.
What other President would insist that every American  has health insurance, at an increased cost,  mostly at the expense of other Americans and with higher premiums and, did I mention less quality.
Then, of course, we have the VA a  prime example of government caring and sharing, not to mention the inclusiveness of the idea of incompetence for everyone.
Now, as a Vietnam vet I can really appreciate this one; after subduing the enemy in Iraq at a staggering cost of blood and money we valiantly allow the entire region to be turned into strong hold for those who would destroy us; how protective can one be, I ask you?
Natanyahu, eat your heart out. The Israeli people must be saddened at the meager and half hearted response by their leader to protect them compared to what the American President has done to his people.
It is proof positive that democracy is the best form of government, how else could such a leader, a man of the people, one who does not lie, does not  deceive be elected to the most powerful position in the world. Not since Adolph Hitler was elected in Germany has democracy, once again shown its true value. Promise them anything, give them poverty, submission, incompetence, corruption and an Obamaphone, food stamps and the alluring promise of equal poverty for all.
In hind sight, it is my deep regret that I did not vote for Obama. I voted for that evil capitalist pig who wrongly valued the American dream of achievement,  of individual freedom, a sovereign nation that selfishly protects its borders, as one would protect his own house and family. How wrong I was.

If you want to be simplistic, I guess one could say that Netanyahu is protecting his citizens, but to be honest, I think such a 'might is right' attitude no longer works well in the world we live in.

Netanyahu is also causing an extreme amount of harm to Israel's image in the world, even with the one country who is their only friend. I think this may be a case of winning a battle but losing a war.

I used to have some sympathy for Israel's position, and now I have none and will no longer support any politician who supports Israel in any form. That's a pretty significant shift, and I suspect that overall the opinion of Israel is negatively shifting for many.

Doing that which will doom you, is not protecting one's citizens.

That doesn't mean I agree with Obama but I do have some appreciation that he doesn't begin and end every world interaction with a club.

I appreciate your comment, thank you.
But I'm a little fuzzy about what you're saying about Israel's position to defend itself. Are you suggesting that a country shouldn't protect itself and stop the aggression, regardless of world opinion?

Israel is fairly unique in its dependence on foreign support for its existence, and so for them, I think it has to be a major consideration (but doesn't seem to be).
