      No, the police code 10-12 means to stand by (wait) <personal attack snipped>. The reason behind cops to be called 12 is because a cops job is to take you to take you to trial by 12 of your peers that's the gangsta shit people like.

      This is new to me. I've always heard (and still do) police referred to as "five-oh," from the show "Hawaii 50." I called them police officers. But since I worked with youngsters often, it's good to know what they are talking about sometimes.

         Never heard of this before-the police being called 12.  When I was growing up, the police were called 50. 12, that's a NEW one.
