The majority of people in Asia are very poor, but the rate of development happening there far exceeds the development rate of the US. Yes, of course the US does not want Asia to develop. But the US can't do anything about it. Asia beats us in manufacturing, in global supply-chain management and in lending. The US beats Asia in food production, control of oil resources and in military power. Laws of economics will eventually collapse our latter two strengths. Then I suspect Asian-owned companies will eventually drive food production in the US. Asia's destiny is to control world trade. The destiny of the US is to feed the world.
