What do you think about the Ferguson Results?

Just? Unjust? Racist? What does it matter since we can't do anything about it anyway?

I don't think that it matters as you said. No one can do anything about it. He went to trial, he was found innocent. Life goes on. I understand the parents wanting justice, but rioting? really. People are honestly ridiculous. It's always a race thing, when really if the community would come together it would solve problems. I've been ranting about this to my boyfriend for like an hour haha.

I agree that the community should come together, but it wouldn't be "a race thing" if there weren't still racial issues going on in the world

There wouldn't be race issues with more open minded people. I just don't understand how the OUTSIDE color of someone can make people so angry. It would be different if we could control the color of our skin, but it's impossible. We are born that race

Grand Jury is not a trial where some evidence can be excluded, GJ is to decide to indict or not.

It's a very timely question.  What disappoints me beyond the terrible rioting is that no one seemed to ask why the grand jury arrived at this decision.  From what I understand, the overwhelming forensic evidence -- not the eyewitness accounts -- was the clincher.  Yet few seem to care about these facts, and are reacting to the "he said, she said," accounts that vary wildly.  This evidence has not been reported in any depth by the media.  The first thing I learned about law when I thought of becoming an attorney years ago (I changed my mind), is that the least reliable evidence are eyewitness accounts.

I was listening to the attorney this morning during an interview and he said that they changed the way they present the evidence to the jury as well, or something along those lines. Do you think that had an effect on the outcome?

The way they changed it is key; it was more comprehensive.  They recalled many details, reviewing them, repeatedly.

According to all the evidence that was given to us, the ruling is appropriate. The officer was in his right to shoot, considering his life was threatened the moment Brown attacked him.

They eyewitness accounts varied drastically. Can they be counted as evidence?

When eyewitness accounts conflict; you have to look at the majority of witness accounts; credibility, all weighed against the forensic evidence.  The media just played to the drama in the situation -- not the facts.

Here is a very sad thought to come across. The rioting shows that a certain group of people that happen to be black are dangerous in a certain neighborhood. They are breaking things and burning things and clearly hate the cops and do it with a violent disposition. Now just say that the shooting was not a race deal. Well as we can see, race does play a part in the whole deal. Would the cop been as threatened by a white person. From the rioting it makes me think that he would not have been. So regardless of reasons raced plays a part of life in Ferguson. The black mindset (again regardless of reasons) in Ferguson seems to be one of attacking police and civil violence.
Clearly not all people but enough.
    It just makes you wonder.
