Should grand jury transcripts re Officer Pantaleo, who killed Eric Garner by choke hold, be public?

The NYCLU and Legal Aid seek an order from the NY Supreme Court, Staten Island, in a hearing on Jan. 29 at 9am, to release grand jury transcripts related to the death of Eric Garner by NYPD Officer Daniel Pantaleo. Pantaleo was the subject of two civil rights lawsuits in 2013, then choked the unarmed African American man to death on July 17, 2014. It might appear that the public has a right to know about the jury's instructions from the D.A. and judge, evidence that was presented, and witness testimony jurors heard. At least Asa Sullivan's mother has the availability of the transcripts if and when she can afford them. This is not true about Brown's family and Garner's family. The grand juries convened in "secret courts," which is fascist. Thanks for commenting!!
