To all Black women out there, during your formative years in junior high & high school which

group of Black girls treated you the worst-the light-skinned or the dark-skinned? How did you identify yourself, light-skinned or dark-skinned? BTW, I am a Black woman of the darker variety. Last night & this morning, I was watching Bill Duke's documentaries on colorism. DARK GIRLS on my dvd player & LIGHT GIRLS on youtube. The first one details how dark skinned Black women are disparaged by their own, viewed as the lesser in many cases. The second one details how light skinned Black women are simultaneously deified & demonized by other Blacks.

There's also colorism in whites, Asians & other groups as well. These things aren't usually talked about so little to no progress has been made but it's been going on for well over a century.
