Will our food ever be replaced by one staple substance that supplies all the nutrients we need? Should it? What if it were cheaper and more efficient – so much so that it could cure world hunger, would we make that necessary transition?
Probably not. Our bodies are designed to eat food in its original form. In other words, the best way to eat corn is off the cob (as opposed to a highly processed flour.) So, any super-nutrient food would be too heavily processed for our bodies to survive on without significant health consequences.
