At Taiwan I once met a white old lady, she told me, in the 50s, her father try forcing her to marry a priest's son, whom is a wife beater, but nobody believe it, because his father is a priest. So, when Vietnam war broke out, she join the red cross and met a doctor of Taiwan army, afterwards she went to Taiwan with him. Her father angry, at her for choosing a none white none Christian, try force her to return, when she refuse, her parents never speak to her again, she didn't return to her home country till, 2001 with her grand daughter and saw her sister for the first time in over 30 years
