Who's "Southern Heritage" Does The Confederate Flag Represent? Whites, Blacks, Indians etc?

Doesn't it seem like, when supporters say it represents "Southern Heritage", they're talking about white southerner's heritage? Doesn't that heritage include, slavery, white supremacy and racial prejudice?

    Right!

What they did back then was treason that's one of the reasons for the war. The other was, to protect the rich white slave plantations' lucrative profits, in the lucrative business of the African Slave Trade. States Rights.= The Slave Trade!

You are giving a modern-day meaning to a flag. It may carry that meaning today, but its original intent was to represent southern sovereignty. Today some see it as a reminder of the charm of the "Old South." It is a dark part of history.

I completely agree with this. We should never forget history or try to erase it, but we definitely shouldn't keep this flag flying over state buildings when it is offensive to so many.
