Yes. 347 gallons of fuel an hour at a $5800 an hour cost. Does this sound as if they have a real fear of climate change or is it just us who need to spend our lives sacrificing while they cause the real problems and laugh all the way to the bank? You think?

So true & isn't it also true that we are better off to keep our coal & go for the pipeline to have our citizens employed & to be independent not having to pay others for the same things? If we are going to use them then why not produce it
Yet having a pipeline to provide jobs and our own coal be independent of China and other countries who gook up the air providing fuels for us is just unthinkable? Are we really that stupid?
Let us apply your reasoning to Christianity. Some Christians believe in God yet sin all of the time. Does this prove that God does not exist? If you are Christian, I am sure you would disagree.
Christians who willfully and purposefully "sin all of the time" can certainly have their commitment and allegiance questioned, eh.
I am certainly not claiming Hillary is a Christian...far from it.
of course not, Polly. It was just in answer to chase's remark.
As was mine.
gore buys carbon offsets for everything he uses. not ideal, but not exactly hypocritical either.
It is very hypocritical, cathy, as it assures that only the wealthy who can afford to buy "carbon offsets" can have anything approaching a 21st century lifestyle. The rest of us are just going to have to do with the 14th century quality of life.
not actually. see my post above.
"ultra low" means that you emit carbon.
it's better to do something rather than nothing.
Carbon offsets are a total scam they do absolutely nothing to reduce pollution Gore's electric bill exceeds $12k for his home the average home is closer to $100 or less. Paying for it doesn't make less pollution and buying credits means nothing.
can you back that up? trees do absorb carbon dioxide. if you pay to plant them, it seems that would offset.
You would have to plant an entire forest to convert enough CO2, but CO2 is only one of the many gases that pollute and most aren't absorbed by plants of any form
