Is California too big, and too diverse to remain a single state?

The Ca population is over 39 million people and it is still growing. North and South Ca are totally different in their climate, and their people. Wouldn't it be better for the people in Ca and the country to split the state in at least 2 parts, and maybe 4 would be better. It is almost 800 miles long, and 250 miles wide, and it is the 3rd largest state. Alaska and Texas are first, and second, but neither of those states has the population size of Ca. Sacramento is in the Northeastern part of the state, and about half the population is in S Ca. What are your thoughts?

That is because the Ca govt doesn't want the lose their power. The people in Ca are mostly political sheep. But the doesn't mean splitting the state is a bad idea. Currently, the population increase has exceeded the resources available to the people.
