Say? I understand many Christians vote Republican because Republicans tend to be anti-abortion, but why do they agree with what Republicans say about gun control, accepting refugees and other matters, especially when Republicans do not have a Biblical view on a subject?

True. I find it disturbing that Christians will defend whatever Republicans say, because somehow it has come that Republican = Christian. If Christians would actually look at their Bible they would see this is not true!

I can see that. Republicans are pro-life and against same-sex marriage, Christians see this and think everything Republicans do is to defend Christian beliefs. So instead of researching, just vote Republican.
Not true. Another over generalization. Ever been to a black church? They tend to vote democrat and they are very much against same-sex marriage.

Growing up my parents always voted Republican and taught my sisters and I that Republicans were Christians and Democrats were evil. Now that I can vote and research I realize Republicans are not Christian and I need to be careful who I vote for.
Republicans & Democrats can be Christian or not. I am sorry your parents mislead you, but you don't want to believe the other extreme. Just study each candidate. Learn their backgrounds and you will find answers!
I was mostly wondering if anyone else had noticed this trend. My family is from West Texas and I currently live in Texas, so I'm surrounded by those who are hard right. Was wondering others thoughts
