Is it really racial profiling?

When you have crimes that are committed by a large percentage of a race, ethnicity, or religion, is it really racist to profile them? Or is it just good police work, as there is a high probability that certain people are more likely to commit certain kinds of crime. Is it any worse than the TSA forcing all the passengers to take off their shoes, and even more intimate areas of privacy because they can't really detect terrorists. It has been show that TSA security can be bypassed, so why are we still using these reactive security measures? PROFILING is better

Yes, but that doesn't stop it from being called Racist, as the term has been expanded to any kind of discrimination. Profiling should be used in any scenario where it can lead to the criminals. It is just statistical analysis in action.

So over 3000 people are killed by a few Muslims, I guess nothing.

My point is that profiling is a criminal detection tool, and it shouldn't be discarded. It can be used more intelligently.
