Why is the Hate word so prevalent?

In most cases, Hate is the wrong word as it is being used in the subject. People can hate, as in dislike the acts of people, especially people in power. But the word Hate has connotations of a desire to do something physical as Hate is rage, and rage is emotional as in Road Rage. It sends the wrong message, and maybe it is intended to be inflammatory, which is wrong. We have enough violence in the country and the world, so we don't need this word to be used to ignite more of it.

And yet you answered the ?. I should have phrased the ?, Why do people use the word Hate, when they really mean Dislike.

Or they Hate how something was done, which is a less emotional connotation of the word Hate.
