What does ISIS want?

Would the terror group known as ISIS, ISIL, IS etc... be satisfied to be left alone by the west? Would a mass conversion from other world religions to Islam be satisfactory? Money, power, influence, or all of the above? Perhaps, none of the above. Is generating fear the primary motivator? What are your thoughts on the motivations of ISIS? Sure, it's a religious war. Sure, they're radical. But what do they want?

Really? May I ask you, wouldn't it be true to say Islam stands or falls on the credibility of Muhammad on which we do not have single evidence but unfathomable doubts because his conduct was immoral?

That actually makes sense (from a radicalized perspective). I think that Islam has an eschatology similar to Christianity.

That's bleak. But, when you're dealing a group of individuals bent on destruction, bleak seems an appropriate tone.

What are the options for holding them accountable? I certainly don't want them to be successful. I want them to be stopped.
