I think that those who are prone to believe in something like that are very selective in picking only those social data that might somehow prove their argument. They will turn the blind eye to the fact that current President is black, and so is Oprah Winfrey, and Will Smith, Denzel Washington - plus COUNTESS successful professionals, scientists, musicians and artists.
If there was such a thing as "white privilege", none of these mentioned individuals would have ever attained their fabulous fame and/or riches, because white folks would have done everything possible to thwart it.
But of course, you can always ignore these examples and focus on all those who never made it in life - with a convenient excuse of being black, or yellow, or brown, or what not...
One sure way not to be mistreated by police is not to put yourself in a situation to have anything to do with them. Sometimes cops may be bad professionals, but also overworked, nervous, lacking sleep, having screwed up marriages - so I just lead a kind of life that doesn't make me face them and their possible flaws. By the way I have an enormous respect for them, thinking what kind of hell we would have without them around.
