How much more violence must we endure before we wake up and realize that we have a say in our own lives. One example is how the schools are beginning to reward bullies and punish those that have been bullied.

Yes, On several occasions schools have sent the bullied child home to change (for example 9 year old Grayson Bruce who was sent home and his mother was told that he could not bring his book bag back to school because it was the cause of the bullying)
I agree that by blaming the victim we are actually honoring the cause of the violence. Does that mean that society must change, or the victim? Remember a mob is dangerous no matter what their belief.
I do not deny that our history has been violent, but I had hoped that we would have grown up a bit by now.
Many people have considered themselves well on their way to evolving into ideal societies, or having it so in mind that they feel it is in sight, but the human condition in this fallen world has not changed. Every generation faces the same crimes...
Does it really matter who is crying what? Should we not be more understanding of our fellow creatures rather than trying to cause hatred of any kind?
