The problem has not changed because the loyal party voters have not changed. Instead of talking about the issues, elections have talked about the red herrings. These are distractions that put the focus away from any of the real issues.
The best example of how that is so dangerous happened in 2008. The entire congress was campaigning for themselves and or their party. Essentially the USS America was running unattended. And like the Titanic hitting the iceberg, the America also was sunk because of a submerged force that took it down.
The economy was neglected, and it couldn't even make it to the elected before it crashed.
The big distraction then was Hillary and her failed attempt to be president, and the disrespectful conduct of those who thrashed the republican female candidate for VP. As well as the attack on Senator McCain as being a continuation of president GW Bush.
All of these were intentional distractions to avoid the real issues. The reason that the economy wasn't an issue because no one in congress knew how to solve it. This was evidenced by the failure of congress and both pres GW Bush and pres Obama throwing $1.5 trillion dollars at the economy, and still not saving it.
Today, we are overlooking National Security even after 911, and the numerous attacks abroad, and many attempted attacks in the US. The attack in Boston during the marathon was successful.
These distractions will continue to sour the elections, and the root cause of this distraction is the loyal party voter. Instead of keeping the US united, their goal is to divide the country based on the color of the party. A country divided is a country that cannot exist.
However, the search for the guilty is not a solution, merely an issue to be solved. The parties are totally divergent in their political goals, and that stops the country from moving forward towards prosperity.
The country has been in decline since the 70s, and this can be verified by looking back at history.
The loyal party voter blames the other party for the failures of the country. But, when congress fails it doesn't matter who in congress failed as we the people and the country LOST.
Neither party has the solutions, but both parties contribute to the problems. The presidential elections are their biggest contributions as major problems for the US.
