Alright I have had it. The protests following Trump are wrong. Should Americans support them?

I am sorry but together burning the American flag and waving the Mexican and chanting Viva Mexico has me troubled. Not rock n roll protests but rocks and stones and fire. I say this legitimizes Trump. He will oppose this 3rd world mentality. Clinton's people obviously support it.
I question always this failure of good Muslims not to condemn acts of ISIS. Now I question Bernie and Hillary for not condemning this.

People have the right to protest in a democracy.  Do you really believe that people who are being oppressed won't speak out? Are there less shocking ways to do it? yes.  Are the effective? Rarely, because they don't get media attention since they aren't shocking enough.  Most people don't understand the reasons for protest - usually because they live in relative comfort and are not familiar with being discriminated against or vilified.  Ever notice how the Trumps of the world blame immigrants for everything?  Yet these same obnoxious clowns outsource American jobs or pay immigrants here under the table.  No one protests the big businesses who are acting against the interests of their own citizens; instead they cast shade on the poor, the immigrants etc.

If you think there aren't a great number of moderate Islamic people who speak out against ISIS you are mistaken and seeing a skewed perception of reality through the media.

Our media is an arm of the propaganda machine.  It is designed to keep us divided and fighting among ourselves and demonizing others while the powers that be that have taken over the entire government laugh all the way to the bank and pass crazy laws that strip you of more and more freedom --- and no one notices because they are worried about Mexicans, or Muslims, or transgendered, or gay people, or black lives matter, or .... or ..... etc etc.

It's all mind games designed to keep you angry and distracted.  Don't feed into it.  Protest is a beautiful thing - it is people using their voices to stand up.

Interesting. I got beaten up pretty good in protests of things back in the day. Arrested a few times. But we did not set fire to things - except those Molotovs in Paris - and we did not waive foreign flags and praise to a foreign country.

true and I don't condone burning things etc. but in protests I've been involved in, the obnoxious are the very small minority of protestors, but the ones who get all the negative media attention.

Absolutely correct. We are talking like the percentages of statistical crime outside of protests. 10 out of thousands.
Good point. I have been paid to protest - years ago.

Eric, I hate what's going on too, but Trump loves it. What could Hillary or Bernie do, they both have spoken out against violence, while Trump encourages it.

Denouncing loudly and clearly is important Ruby. I do not know about either denouncing today and yesterday. Anaheim and Albuquerque. Would they act so slow as President?

Burning cars and breaking windows does not achieve anything good but the handful of people who do that are doing it in response to Mr. Trump's inciting of violence and his hateful speeches. It's like mirror-image.
After the way he talked about Mexicans most Latinos are looking crooked at Mr. Trump and indeed some will get violent, no good but it happens. It was to be expected.

But Mr. H did Trump do more than speak which is very protected. And is not the violence really being funded by others? Give me your take which mimics my adult children.

I have to agree, it's like taking a stick and poking a hornets nest, do you really think you won't get stung? You can't incite a whole group of people and blame them for societies ills and not expect push back.

I am not sure about the States but here we have what is called the Black Bloc - they are anarchists and break windows/light cars on fire for fun, I suppose. Gotta watch out for those types of people. They are not there to protest peacefully.

The old saying "Sticks & stones will break my bones, but world will never hurt me." was trotted out to quell the anger that words often bring about.  Words that may have been planned to wound, to incite a crowd, because words do wound.

This is not about protests, this is civil disobedience in the anti Trump protests. The same is true when the protests by blacks go violent.

Hillary is more interested in bringing in foreigners that don't believe in the American Culture, and they are able as illegals or visitors to the country to violently protest. The Mexican, Black and Muslim leaders need to talk to their people and get them to either protest peacefully or get out of the country.

Unfortunately, when Muslims infiltrate Europe and Asia and other countries, violence follows them. This is verifiable, and we don't need to have Hillary waving the welcome flag for them.

Whatever people think of Trump, the way to protest is not to vote for him. The problem is that many people in the anti trump protests are not eligible to vote in our elections. That is ironic, or should be.

America is not here to be soft putty to modify our culture to become a surrogate country for foreigners that don't even want to be Americans.

Hillary and Bernie need to educate their followers that the voting process is the legal and American process to deal with Trump and any other political issues.

We are becoming a 3rd world country as our Democratic Republic is failing. We can't even get to the presidential election as both party elites are trying to fix the election to their choice and not the people's choice.

Once again this is NOT a protest, it is civil disobedience and it is designed to make the election process fail.

Instead of protesting, a better thing to do, is to show up at the next election and vote for Hilary Clinton, only 50% of Americans voted in Presidential election. If people who don't support Trump don't vote, but Trump supporter vote for him, he will still get elected, despite not been popular.

Except Hillary is also a horrible candidate - it's like voting for arsenic or strychnine.   Who wants to vote for that? Lesser of two evils constantly and both parties are corrupt.  We really need more than two parties.

You are right, Peter.  Trump is not going to drop out of this race. These people are wasting their time.  Just vote in November, it's the only way to stop him.

Liberal fascists are showing up everywhere, not just Trump events. For example, social justice warriors have been allowed to threaten speakers, disrupt events and destroy property on college campuses for years. Now they are physically assaulting speakers, and security does nothing because the college is more afraid of the violent thugs they've indoctrinated instead of the negative impact on our rights.

Absolutely not.  This is the kind of BS that's going to lead us to Martial Law, if it gets worse.  I think the police should bring out the water hoses, and start arresting people and stop just standing there and doing nothing.  Let the SJW's and BLM cry buckets.  Just give them tissues.

It's also disheartening to see young children in elementary school giving up the middle finger and cussing like it's going out of style.  How can any parent be proud of that?

How did they do in San Diego. Professional foresight. Active prevention. Designated areas for free speech. Some drunks. Let the people be people and remember law enforcement deserves respect.
