Does Bernie Sanders' endorsement of Hilary Clinton matter?

They are in the same party, doesn't this make them "Teammates" in a way? Although they have many different viewpoints, how does this affect your judgement on Mr. Sanders, and why?

As an outsider looking in at their party, I think it makes a big difference. I know there are a few fanatical cranks who don't believe in moderation or negotiation, but every vote counts. If she gets 90% of the somewhat sane/sensible Bernie Bots, then she has succeeded.

I think he had to do it. He ran as a Democrat.  If he didn't endorse HRC, then it would have looked like he was using the party for his own self-aggrandizement.

The last thing we need is another fanatic, about anything.  Everything in moderation, especially socialists.

I think that the democrat party let him down, they wanted and setup the primary for her. They didn't think that any of her opponents would be a threat. When they found Sanders getting traction they worked against him.
      He should run independent

ABSOLUTELY it Matters ~ Recent POLLs taken Prior to Senator Sander's Endorsement Yesterday Reveals Approximately 78% to 85% of Bernie's Supporters will Enthusiastically VOTE for Hillary in November and that number should CONTINUE to Rise as we PROGRESS Forward ~ Bernie / Hillary Support RAISING the Minimum WAGE for hard WORKING Americans, NOT "Slashing Wages" like "Delusional Donald" promotes ~ Bernie / Hillary Support Universal HEALTHCare for ALL Americans ~ Bernie / Hillary will Champion Gay RIGHTs ~ Bernie / Hillary Support STRONG Vibrant Labor UNIONs which Protect Workers from Unscrupulous Practices by Managers / Owners / CEO's etc etc ~ Bernie & Hillary will Champion a Reasonable PATH Toward Citizenship for ALL Undocumented Human Beings ~ Bernie / Hillary are on the SAME Page Regarding MOST Major Issues so the TRANSITION from Supporting Bernie to Hillary which has already begun, will be SEAMLESS ~

Based on Bernie's followers threatening to do a fart in at the Democratic convention, I'd say no.

This does not affect my judgment of Mr. Sanders as this is the norm for any political party politician  When a candidate does not win the party's nomination they usually will endorse their fellow party member. As for how the endorsement will affect the presidential elections, this will depend on the number of candidates who eventually run for president. Several polls Hillary will most likely pick up between 63-78% of the Sanders voters, with the numbers skewing lower if a Libertarian or other left leaning candidate joins the race. Of course these polls are based on national polling and statewide polling would be more accurate to use since the US uses the delegate system for electing the president.

As for Sanders and Hillary being teammates, I would not say they were teammates.  Rather the DNC looked at the situation and saw that if Sanders decided to run on a 3rd party platform that it would actually help Trump's campaign by splitting the left vote. The Democrats after the 1980 election came up with the Hunt Commission to go over how they would handle elections such as this and the one in 08 which was close.  Under the findings of the Hunt Commission the DNC strove harder to have a more unified policy for their candidates.  Sanders is merely falling in line.
