When the political leaders in the world stop using demographics to define people. And it won't end when we have identity politics, where leaders divide up the population into demographic tribes and then define your identity based on your political loyalties.
This is seen with Democrats saying they are the party of women, blacks, homosexuals. And then they attack conservative women, blacks and homosexuals as not really members of the group because they fail the "tribal identity = ideology" test these leaders have set. The leaders like it because it divides society, creating a siege mindset that keeps people loyal and obedient. And the tribal aspect leads to social pressure to conform to the political ideology more than one would if it was only an intellectually held belief.
I just accept everyone and their differences. It's our differences that make us interesting. But we always have respect and esteem for each other as humans first and foremost. Lately, it's been painful to watch the hate n violence though.
When everyone stops denying that it exists and rights the wrongs of their people, racism will stop.
Yes! We need to accept it exist, accept accountability for our own actions and stop blaming others. Then, we can begin those constructive conversations that can bring us solutions to the deep causes of racism and hate.
The destruction of the human ego!
As long as groups of people look to distinguish themselves as being "better" than other groups race will be the easiest trait to point at.
Having said that if everyone were the same color then there would people who would say those with "green eyes" or "blue eyes" are smarter and better looking than those with brown or black eyes.
It's human nature for people to want to "compare" themselves to others and see how well they "stack up" against them.
Very few people would be happy if all schools changed from letter grades to a simple pass or fail. Equality equals mediocrity.
Ranking one another and looking for "differences" is our way of stating who is "best" based upon a criteria of a elitist majority.
Since there will not be a day where everyone is the same skin color racism will continue to be the easiest differentiator of them all.
Oddly enough sometimes the workplace allows an opportunity for some people of different races & cultures to befriend one another.

Should we stop talking about race?People talk about race and racism a lot these days. It seems like such a primitive concept. Why does race even have to be discussed? What difference does it make if a white, black, or gray guy did something to you? I feel that when people claim something or someone...

Recently I summit-ed a topic on the political site called (The Hypocrisy Of America). And I used the race card as the stirring stick, and boy was I surprise at the response. Over 200 hits. The real truth is that color or race has always been used to bring a wedge of deceit between cultures. This...

"Today, racism is regarded as a crime if practiced by a majority--but as an inalienable right if practiced by a minority. The notion that one’s culture is superior to all others solely because it represents the traditions of one’s ancestors, is regarded as chauvinism if claimed by a...
