JFK died in 1963 and the moon landing was in 1969.
I suppose if in six years Obamacare is still around and functioning better history will record he set the stage for a national healthcare system. It took several years before social security became a sacred cow that it is today. Time will tell if the nation gives up on it.

Getting elected to heal racial division and then fostering it.
Being elected to bring transparency and delivering the opposite.

Much like Obama, he was the first and only Catholic elected to POTUS.

      Tamara,
I believe your answer to be as true as mine so they should be combined.

I think it will be health care, assuming that we don't elect a successor who destroys it.

The same as Franklin Pierce's. He proved to be a shill with no ideas of his own other than what his donors or public opinion told him. And when he did need to come up with an idea of his own without guidance, he went to the Pentagon.

Solar panels. There are solar panels everywhere since Obama took office.  That might turn out to be a pretty righteous thing.

I know i sound like a heartless bird murderer and global warming advocate, but much has been done to move us into solar and wind. I like it better that asshole bureaucrats damning my rivers, or pipes about my aquifers or one more ounce of coal ash.

That depends on whether things calm down in the Middle East, or escalate into WWIII... right now Russia is flexing its muscles over Syria, Iran is flexing its muscles over Yemen, Iraq, etc. ...

If things go south and we head into WWIII that will be Obama's legacy just as much as Neville Chamberlain's appeasement and foppish leadership on the world stage is considered his 'legacy'.

Should we avoid that, and steer clear of an escalation in the conflict that is clearly pulling nations further in at this moment (Russia sailing its Fleet to Syria), (Iran backing Yemen rebels shooting at American ships), then I would say his legacy will be Obamacare...

Of course, it depends on how things like TPP pan out... while we don't think much of that now, just like we didn't think much of NAFTA when the Clintons signed off on it... as time goes by they are more remembered for that, and Deregulation, than they are for most anything else.

Time will tell... a lot depends on what happens in the next few years.

I believe Obama wants his scandalous "Healthcare" package to be his Legacy but what I see so far is only his producing an across the board unity for illegal drug use's prison terms - which should be legal because the FBI and CIA imports them as the "Iran-Contra Affair" showed us back in the day.

If my interpretations of prophecy are correct, his Legacy will be to leave office before his term expires for the "Son/Sun of Man" (Malachi 3:1) to enter his Temple - White House - and bring world peace (Isaiah 2:2-4).
