Do you think Barbara Boxer D from California will get the Electoral College system repealed?
This is what she says she is going to do. She is the one who worked along with Nancy Pelosi and Jim Costa a few years ago to take the water away from the farmers and turn it into the Delta for the smelt fish.
I think it's time for the Electoral College to go away, so I'm glad Senator Boxer plans to introduce the bill.
I have a feeling that since Republicans have benefited from losing the popular vote, but winning the Electoral vote twice in the past 16 years, they will not be inclined to move the bill forward.
Never in a million years. A constitutional amendment would be required, and none of the smaller states would agree.
The electoral college is there for a reason. Its purpose is to prevent the tyranny of the majority. Without it, states with very high populations would have total control of the country, and the vast majority of the US would be ignored.
Our framers were very smart people, and they understood the danger of allowing a few large cities in a small number of states to control the country. This is actually the same reason that our upper house (the senate) has only 2 seats per state, regardless of its population.
"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what is for lunch. Liberty is a well armed lamb." Arguably credited to Ben Franklin
It would seem that Boxer and others are attempting to ban the "well armed lamb" by removing the Electoral College and our guns if she could. At no point is democracy representative of a free society, but when combined with a Republic, as America is, all people are represented not just a majority.
Do I think she has a chance of succeeding? No, not at this point in time, but the New World Order people are as religious fanatics, who have deified government and whose mission it is to constantly battle the evil of individual freedom hammering people into a collective mold of docile and compliant subjects.

Clinton's popular vote win was basically her win in California - by 4 million + votes. Take California away from Clinton, and Trump wins by a landslide. The Electoral College prevented this bias of one state forcing it's will on the rest of the nation - which is why it was put into place when the...

Senator Hawley, concerns are that state election laws were not followed, megacorporation's Facebook and Twitter's unprecedented interference in the election, lack of investigations into voter fraud by congress. For these reasons he will object to the electoral college results....
