"It's our right as a sovereign nation to choose immigrants that we think are the likeliest to thrive and flourish and love us." said Trump. By asserting authority to pick and choose immigrants, Trump was defending some of his most controversial campaign proposals -- including a ban on Muslims, which he called for and has not yet disavowed, and a more targeted restriction on immigrants from countries that don't satisfy his vetting requirements.

Of Course such policies or statements are artificial, for a campaign to be successful. No such thing will ever work in reality.
We have existing Immigration Laws that Obama is refusing to uphold. It is these laws that choose immigrants. Immigrants that go thru the legal immigration process are refused entry because of quotas, AND failing to meet requirements.
And upholding the Law is a big part of his Job (if not the only real reason to have a Pres). The Pres shouldn't have the ability to pick and choose what laws he will enforce. Enforce not create or ignore laws.
Wouldn't the better plan for the US and the Muslim Immigrants to stay in their own lands. ISIL setup their country, why can't the US help setup safety zones in the Middle East instead of transplanting them around the world.???
