Isn't repealing Obamacare just tax reform?  Justice Roberts said it was a tax, right?

Obamacare costs are a tax - the Supreme Court made that clear after it was shoved down our throats.  Trump making changes or getting rid of it is simply tax reform, an act all presidents do.

What is outrageous is being fined. People pay their taxes. City State Federal. Then they get fined. Here is the kicker.  They have to pay for government peoples healthcare. With their own taxes.

I would not mind paying for unaffordable health insurance. I dont mind paying a fine. Id be glad to. When City, State, Federal employees and politicians get absolutely zero benefits.  Minimum wage. Thats it for politicians. They do not even deserve

Yes, it has two sisters, SS, and Medicare.
The medical tax deduction went up from 7.5% threshold to 10% in 2013, I guess congress thought people were going to have higher medical deductions.

    Obamacare wasn't a tax.

it was a total fraud and it's authors and all those who voted for it, lied about it and deceived the public about it should be prosecuted for fraud.

Were it created and marketed by any corporation the way it was by our elected officials, AKA the government, corporate execs. would be going to jail for fraud and the Democrats would be leading the prosecution.

But obmamama said it wasn't a tax - you mean he lied again?
And the American leftists didn't object to the deceit, but have a problem with the truth from Trump?
Slap me across the face, and call me Sally.
I'm shocked that obmamama got away with another lie.
So, the left will just say Jusitce Roberts lied and that it wasn't a tax but a "benefit" forced on the American people with higher costs and higher premiums and fines if you can't afford both. LOL
Is there anything that's "fair" coming from the U.S. Government?
When the government says, "We're here to help", run away as fast as you can!!!
Do you really think a government program will be abolished?
Even as wasteful and expensive and poorly managed as obamacare?
I'd be shocked in Trump is able to pull it off, as far as closing down completely the corrupt program he shoved down Americans throats.
Even if Trump can pull off a few "freedom" enhancing things, with the left's control of the media, colleges and public schools, America is toast.
Watch the inauguration - if it isn't mayhem from leftists and BLM terrorists, he might have a chance.
But, I ain't holdin' my breath.

I have no idea how it was 'passed' in the first place.

"USSC: NFIB v. Sebelius (2012) 'tax". But tax did not originate in the House. If to require people to buy health insurance, not to raise revenue, the law did not need to comply with the origination clause.

Citing Twin City Bank v. Nebeker (1897), the court pointed out the Supreme Court has long held that “revenue bills are those that levy taxes in the strict sense of the word, and are not bills for other purposes which may incidentally create revenue." - http://dailysignal.com/2014/07/30/wasnt … l-mandate/

"The majority opinion, authored by Roberts, said the federal government does not have the constitutional power to compel “individuals to become active in commerce… [so] the individual mandate cannot be sustained.”

But in a stunning move, Roberts reinterpreted the law, allowing it to stand, because he said the federal government has the constitutional authority to tax people — even though the law’s advocates originally denied it was a tax while pushing for its approval in 2010. The Obama administration later argued that it was a tax." Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/06/28/in-6- … z4VAvDhWNE

So I'm thinking that will Congressional shyters will dismantle the ACA - and keep the money. sad

" In 1993, Republicans twice introduced health care bills that contained an individual health insurance mandate. Advocates for those bills included prominent Republicans who today oppose the mandate including Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Charles Grassley (R-IA), Robert Bennett (R-UT), and Christopher Bond (R-MO). In 2007, Democrats and Republicans introduced a bi-partisan bill containing the mandate.

In 2008, then presidential candidate Barack Obama was opposed to the individual mandate." - http://healthcarereform.procon.org/view … eID=004182

Republicans supported an individual healthcare mandate up until the very moment Obama supported it. Then it became evil. https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/ez … 43dcd15d52
