Does the predilection of one supporting a view opposed to Christian values, justify our treatment.
We are often chastised by non-Christians for not being Christian. It chaffs me. We must get over it. We must love first and react second. Online Christians too often miss the mark. I do, and repent and will try to do better. Of all people, we react to viciousness with viciousness. This is wrong and must stop. Go ahead Christian and justify it as some kind of sworn soldier for Christ. And then justify the Crusades. As human we are bound to respond to contempt wrongly. As Christians we must not forsake our values in order to "win" or out of anger. Peace.
Today I noted what a simpleton, I guess simian I am. A tow truck driver would not let me pass before backing a towed car into a space. I gave him a dirty look from my mail truck, I guess feeling that lugging the US mail gave me a sense of entitlement. I did avoid the bird. At any rate, instead of changing people through patience, peace and love here I am at age 52 acting like a kindergartener. You don't win souls through anger, you win them through love.
Thanks Mel, I was thinking about how that knee jerk response of ours is probably tied to our most basic instincts of "fight or flight". Has our overwhelming online presence created a space where comments made there actually put us in fear.
They use the insults that shut up the speaker of truth.
It is why liberals are happy to tell Christians not to judge, while ignoring the rest of the verse that makes it clear the rule is not "do not judge" but don't be hypocritical. They quote scripture only to the point to end anyone using it as a moral standard to say "don't do that".
Please write more on this - I think I get it.
Read my book review Hub The Beauty of Intolerance, a Book Review. We are called out to call out adultery, spousal abuse, personal abuse to stop it while others say don't judge so we won't condemn their actions.
That seems like a pretty clear point of view. Not really unique but not generally accepted as a school of thought.
I get the distinction made. You would have to be sinless to feel justified under that notion. Can't call out adultery
if you lust.

Why do non-Christians celebrate Christmas?Christmas is a celebration of the birthday of Christ. Why do non-Christians celebrate Christmas? Is this the reason people say the US government was founded based on Christian principles?
