Do you think that the ACLU would Defend the Neo-Nazis today?

In 1978 The ACLU defended a neo-Nazi group right to march in a mostly Jewish (including several holocaust survivors) suburb of Chicago called Skokie. Freedom of speech also includes speech we as a nation hate. Now people do whatever they can to shut up speech they do not like. Shouting down people to the point of violence is almost the norm. The right sees anything they don’t agree with as terroristic and the left sees everyone else as Nazis. Would the ACLU of today defend a group like this? (Secondary question: outside of Stalin can anyone be worse than the Nazis?)

It does seem like they focus on the 1st amendment while the rest can go and spit. To them defending your right to say what you want is what’s important. The left wants to tell you what to say (or what you can’t say) and call it free speech.
