Is Presidential decorum important? Are tweeting scurrilous slurs of wiretapping, colossal blunders?

Trump accused Obama of wiretapping. I am confused as to why he feel the FISA warrant for SVB Bank &  Alfa Bank involves Trump Tower since Trump, etal  are NOT named in the FISA warrant -  just the 2 Russian banks & the warrants are looking for transfers of $$ from Russia to USA, (a felony). (R)Sen. Sasse, “we are in the midst of a civilization-warping crisis of public trust.”

Trump still thinks he is in the entertainment and real estate business where he can manipulate people and things by creating an alternate reality.  The FISA report in question had nothing to do with wire tapping, but that is the reality that Trump and company wanted to create by distorting the facts..  This was all done to take the heat off of him and his cohorts for any possible collusion with the Russians.

You are absolutely right about public trust.  He is losing the trust of the people except for those who still have blind faith in his campaign promises.  But I believe given enough time, they too will lose trust in him.  This is evident in his rush to repeal and replace Obama care without taking the time for critical thinking.

Here is the article started the wire tapping fiasco:

the dem who wants to talk to christopher steele has the right idea. but that situation is odd. steele came out of hiding, so isnt he worried he'll be killed? both putin and trump have everything to lose....he must have some airtight safety measure!

yez maam. i love sasse on this one. and agree with him that assange is an enemy of the usa and works for vladimir putin. as does edward snowden, imo. lets see fsb spying mechanisms, shall we? how about that? or do people think cia is only agency out there, and every single other country on this earth doesnt do the same?
as for trumps hateful tweets...hes a disgrace to the office and should be more like his wife! if this gvt lets him get away with colluding with russia, they are not worth the flag they salute, or the constitution they swear allegiance to. i mean, where there's smoke there's fire....and this situation is an inferno. put it out before it puts us out, thats all i have to say.
(and no pence...hes in on it too!)

Who know who else is 'tapping' in? That scene at Mar A Lago of phone being used as "flashlights" (ahem*) shows how sloppily Trump treats security.

So somebody posts something on FB and it makes you go all outraged crazy mad. No validity - who cares right? You just gobble up the unsubstantiated garbage on social media? Well I think that is bad. But if you go that way Trump will beat you.

Clinton lost the presidency, dems won't win in 2018 unless they have a better plan than hate Trump.

Yep, I hear that already approval numbers are busting 45%. this attack train may not know how to stop before running off the rails.
I got nothing invested, But I can see the demise of promoting hate. Folks have to get back to promotion not attack.

can you name one thing promotional that came out of republicans during the 8 years of barack obama?? all i saw were attacks. how about this past election? i suppose wikileaks was promitional?? you play the game now want to change it? actions speak!

ok...what good things did they have to say about him? i never saw any. except hes a good father. of course, when i said i like that hillarys a mom and gramma, i was roundly mocked. if you ever saw a repub say anything positive in 8 yrs..what was it?

I just have no reference to what you ask.My friends just are not that filled with hate. Many republicans around here hailed the ACA. We applauded the OBL death. And you and I both know there were many more.

i am telling you the truth when i say i never saw nor heard one good thing about obama except that hes a good dad. heard nothing but negatives on the aca..its a disaster, a catastrophe  blah blah blah. trump called obama a complete and total failure.

I suppose if one only looks for a certain activity they would miss the other activity. This all or nothing pure black and white position of yours is a little unsettling. It does not lend itself to rational observance. No saints and no devils here.

eric, you need to tell republicans that. they see nothing good in democrats, and have been saying so for a long time. and that is something i have not seen any of you do. ever. quick to lambast democrats. silence regarding the recalcitrant repubs.

My comments on HRC were straightforward my opinion on the unfairness of locking up Naval service members for far less than what was admitted by HRC. I still vehemently hold that position. It really is not about HRC. More anti locking up sailors.

but trump called her crooked. flynn said lock her up. trump has nothing but negatives to say about obama or democrats ever. so i say, when your side starts acting decent...so will i.

Where do you get the notion I am on a side opposing you. I am a free man, I do not need to or do pick "sides". I pick positions on issues not people. And you are making republicans auto Trumpsters on every issue. That is very far off base.

lovemychrisposted 7 years agoin reply to this

before trump came along, republicans were against obama....against dems. this did not start with trump, trump just showed the ugly. and people loved it. now we all suffer for it. for it or against it. period.this time there is no middle.choose a side

    20. Ericdierker profile image45
Ericdierkerposted 7 years agoin reply to this

In my humble opinion you are simply hate baiting. We do not have to pick a side and get all outraged and hateful toward the "other side". We can be moderates - very legal. What is a fiscal conservative and social liberal called? Dem or Rep? Me?

    21. lovemychris profile image76
lovemychrisposted 7 years agoin reply to this

well, as ive said a thousand times, tell that to your friends on the right. trump is now putting gateway pundit on press list..bringing back the hateful birther accusations. what love, huh? as well, there are numerous democrat haters here, tell them!

    22. Ericdierker profile image45
Ericdierkerposted 7 years agoin reply to this

What in the heck does that have to do with us moderates. We have to hate someone because you are offended and action is taken that you do not agree with. Most of us choose not to hate like you do. Do you really think it is either hate of love?

    23. lovemychris profile image76
lovemychrisposted 7 years agoin reply to this

i do not like these republicans. you seem to have a problem with that. at the same time, it doesnt seem to bother you that they dont like dems...as you never demand they stop being hateful. how are you moderate when you only harangue me? need names?

I think when a boy in the ghetto gets shot we should not look to the sins of the boy that brought it on but rather what we can do better. Like volunteering to be a mentor. If a sitting president did a wrong thing we do not look to justify it by the sins of the victim. (nobody is a victim here it just is the best word) Trump organization servers were apparently legally survailed, And it appears that it was done with a judges approval.
Yep they did it and yep they did it right. It smells bad and it looks bad and feels like dogshit that does not mean we should pick it up and taste it. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY7ZX6ngOSs )
All of this stuff just stinks. But it is a bad rabbit hole to go down. Let us focus on ACA.

I think it is important to remember that the NSA evades FISA via SIGNET partners to carry out surveillance on U.S. persons.  - but Trump is looking for a no-questions-asked rubber stamping of Section 702's five-year renewal. Communications with foreign persons is fair game under Section 702, even if the communications originate in the US - https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20170 … ance.shtml
