Yes, agreed. Also, they could not penalize people for being efficient. Example: Here in CA they pushed for everyone to buy electric/hybrid cars. A lot did. Now, they want to tax owners of said cars because they aren't paying enough for fuel. Crazy.

The state is raising gas and diesel taxes to repair roads. Electric vehicles don't use much gas, so the state is charging owners $100/yr. to fairly balance it out.
When it's "cheap" then people will start to switch
Fossil fuels are only "cheap" to buy because of government subsidies. Your tax dollars are paying for cheap gas. If those subsidies went toward renewables, they'd be "cheap", and wouldn't be as damaging to the environment.
It is very sad, indeed. We have so many options available to us, and yet here we are, so many in denial and an administration which is rolling things backward. If we don't begin changing things now, the damage will be too far gone.
I agree, Kathleen.Just seems like our president sees things differently - or he's trying to get rid of Obam's name everywhere possible.
