   Are you in favor of amnesty or not?
   
   We have a problem in America with illegal immigration- it's not a secret.  Should we have a blanket amnesty or something different ?  How about a real discussion on the topic instead of a shouting match?

   If our government is telling us we have 11 million, its certain to be double that across the nation.
   
   There is little incentive for them to become legal citizens or seek Amnesty, more than half of illegals enjoy welfare, schooling, and in addition, fill many jobs as undocumented workers, which saves them from paying taxes and more often than not is the only way to get good labor jobs in today's work environment (go by a Toll Brothers development and tell me those hundreds of workers aren't illegals).
   
   Illegal aliens have received grants, professional accreditations, loans, WIC, disability, public housing, college educations, food stamps, unemployment benefits, and tax credits from state and federal agencies.
   
   According to the U.S. Census Bureau, at least one third of foreign born citizens in the United States are illegal aliens. Since children born in the United States are considered U.S. Citizens, they are in effect 'anchor babies' for entire families of illegal aliens, because of one child who was born a U.S. Citizen.
   
   If the U.S. government sent the parents of these children away, we would be separating families. Now that these families have given birth to U.S. citizens, the families are eligible for benefits such as WIC and food stamps. Benefits such as these are for low income families. Illegal aliens often work in low paying or undocumented jobs so they now qualify for benefits.
   
   In addition to this, states like CA have laws in place that now cater to illegals, they are allowed to vote, get licenses, and are given rights and protections that an American citizen could not seek for themselves.  These people are not required to become U.S. citizens, so they can keep any benefits or allegiances to the country from which they came.
   
   Personally, if I were from another nation, I too would be moving to a state like CA or NY, anyplace where you can receive benefits, find work, and don't have to contribute taxes is indeed a Land of Opportunity.
   
   Amnesty will solve nothing, making them citizens will solve nothing, so long as we remain a nation that gives greater opportunity and benefits to non-citizens than it offers to its own poor, they will continue to come in droves.
   
   Remove the 'anchor baby' benefits, crack down on businesses hiring undocumented workers, that alone will drastically reduce the flow of millions from coming.  Until then, it will only continue, and only increase the fragmentation of our society and add to the rolls of the unemployed.

   No ,illegals are drain on our encompassing.they're not citizens there forever they should be deported

   1. It is unfair to the millions who followed the legal process, often spending thousands of dollars and waiting years.
   2. It will incentivize more lawbreaking. In the 1980s amnesty, Simpson Mazolli?, we had 3 million illegals given amnesty. Now there are an estimated 11 million. Democrats promised to fix the immigration system and build a wall. Thirty years later, nada.
   It is wrong to have yet another amnesty without fixing the problem, both building the wall and streamlining the immigration system to let in those we want and deny and deport those we don't.
   3. A blanket amnesty is the worst kind of amnesty. You get forgiven even if you came here in violation of the law, stole someone's identity and claimed their tax refunds? The IRS didn't tell around a million people their identities had been stolen by illegals. Do you get an amnesty if you can say I've been here since 5, even if a member of a gang and committed many crimes?
   At least pathway to citizenships that say you have to learn English, follow the law and wait many years before you vote uphold the standards most Americans can support.
