Was President Trump right (or wrong) in his decision to pardon Sheriff Joe Arpaio?

What are your thoughts on this issue?

As usual, whenever Trump has to make some sort of decree, it's ALWAYS harmful to America.
Pardoning Arpaio was one of the best examples of Trump's faulty judgements. He is determined to divide this county to the breaking point.
He is a racist bigot of the highest order. And that includes both of them.

Sorry Larry one just cannot answer this question rationally in a public forum. Just using rational logic you would be slammed as a racist bigot, a Nazi and dumb and deplorable.

Even if you answered the question in private, you would still be "a racist bigot". There is no other answer. Joe Arpaio is the worst excuse for a sherriff ever. Trump is worse. He's subjugating an entire country.

AS, do you mean to tell me that Obama releasing all of those MURDERING terrorists from Gitmo was a good move? They just turned around and started killing again.

As soon as you show me some proof of that statement, I will discuss it. And it has nothing whatsoever to do with this question. As usual, Pres. Creep's cult can only talk about conspiracy theories and place blame on others. Losers to the end.

That there is confirmation. I did not even address an issue much less a person and I am brutally attacked as a bigot. My other race wife and mixed child are just irrelevant. Austin is the final word. She knows more than us.But she is only a want a be

AS, if you watched the news for the last 8 years you wouldn't need any proof. It was in the news constantly about the people BO released.

The question is about Trump and Arpaio, NOT anyone or anything else.

You don't want to face the fact that what BO did was 100 times worse than what Trump did. Plain and simple.

No, I'm seriously wondering why you can't or won't answer Larry's question.

Absolutely - if you use the current status quo as a measurement.

Sheriff Joe was convicted of defying a court order to stop detaining people suspected of being illegal immigrants; a misdemeanor crime with a minimal sentence.  Yet, the Deep State routinely defies the President's orders, several states are defying the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency rules and are selling pot, sanctuary cities routinely defy Federal immigration laws, Lois Lerner defied the law to hold up conservative groups, Obama established laws on Obamacare and then immediately defied them by delaying implementation, etc.

Everyone knows Sheriff Joe is being used a political pawn, and the President, using the legal authority granted to him by the office, promoted him to a knight.

OK - now let the Liberal Hate-fest begin !

In a legal sense I think he was probably right, meaning that he has a legitimate right as president to pardon him.  I'm just assuming that because I haven't researched the law.  However, I believe it was a misuse of this right, and wrong in so many ways.  It was also very much in keeping with his campaign promises and behavior ever since his election so not surprising.

It is an interesting case study. Really Obama's AGs just went after him. 86 year old man who dedicated his life to service like 18 hr days for decades.
I basically hate the guy. But because we disagree does not make the issue. Probably a good thing.
