    Does it bother anypne that the Bill of Rights has been replaced by the United Nations Human Rights?

    I disagree with the premise of your question.  The Bill of Rights has not been replaced.  The decision of the U.S. or any other country to abide by UN human rights doctrine is not codified into law, but exists at our option.  In fact, the entire UN exists at our option.  We use it when we need it, and there is tremendous political value gained from abiding by it.  But if there were ever a true conflict between the UN and our Constitution, the U.S. government is law-bound to our law, not the UN.

    Hope that helps... and I'm guessing it doesn't ;-)

    Response to Pod

    It is codified by law, a law that emerged during WWII and and has not stopped since. International law or as we saw in the war tribunals at the Hague the International Criminal Court, ICC. This organization is headed by the UN..

    The statement below came from John Foster Dulles, Sec of State under Eisenhower
    "treaty law can override the Constitution. Treaties, for example … can cut across the rights given the people by their constitutional Bill of Rights."

    I would refer you to;

    Treaties and the Constitution
    by George C. Detweiler

    The UN Charter and the Declaration on Human Rights , were written by the US government and are essentially socialistic and Marxist. I would urge you to read and compare Marx's writtings with the UN documents.
    The UN says that you have a right to health care and so does Obama--not in the Bill of Rights-you simply have a right to achieve it.
    The UN say you have a right to education-not in the Bill of Rights-you have a right to achieve it.
    You note the political value in the UN--can you please explain that with reference to maintaining the integrity of the Constitution.
