   Men are inherently evil.  Evilness breeds hate.  Hate breeds robbery and death.  Hate destroys.  Better to love and be loved because love gives.

   Because most of us believe we are isolated, separate and temporary; physical bodies with minds in our brains - and we're afraid.   Afraid someone might take the limited resources, move into our space, attack us.
   
   Examine hatred and you'll find it comes from anger.  Examine anger and you'll find it's based in fear.   Fear is the base negative emotion.   Love, of course, is it's opposite.   In everyting and ever thing in our lives we fall between these two polarities of absolute fear and unconditional love.   Quite obviously we need to move towards the latter if the world is to become a happier place.

   Because man is never satisfied. Basic economics can really explain human behavior. It's all about preference and satisfaction, and at times, man uses force or fraud to achieve his/her desires.

    Two men looked out from their prison window.  One saw STARS... the other saw BARS.  When we look at a box of glass-marbles of different colors... your eye can focus onto the black marbles and you will not even see the blues, reds, or other colors.  I used to ride a motorcycle. I was headed-off-the-road and SPIT-ON ... not because other drivers hated bikers... it was just because they were not LOOKING for motorcycles.  They had their mind on CARS and TRUCKS!
    SOOO.... if you see a lot of hatred and pain... maybe that is what you are LOOKING FOR!!  Try to see the nice things and don't concentrate on the bad ones. Go get the old movie called, "Time After Time".  In that movie, 2 men go into the future. One is HG wells, and the other is Jack the Ripper.  One man sees modern wonders and says "UTOPIA".. Jack sees
    famine on TV, modern warfare, porno, etc etc... and he says "UTOPIA" also!!!

    We are animals - specifically primates. Like other animals we are driven by greed, lust, hunger, desire for dominance (status) among other fellow "animals," etc. I don't advocate behaving "like the animals we are," but if we keep that in mind perhaps we can eventually answer to the better angels of our nature.. though I kind of doubt it.

    We're just human, we got hurt and we feel pain because of our bad experiences. But keep in mind that in order to have a happy life, hatred and pain are just there to teach us and make us appreciate the good things about life, so next time we encounter hatred and pain, we know know how to overcome them.

    I believe technology has caused people to lose touch with the world, and this makes everyone feel as though all of the problems in the world "aren't really there". This makes it so that they don't do anything to help stop the problems, because in their mind the problems either don't exist, or they think that someone else will take care of them.

    now this question can only be answer in essays/books/hubs but really is unanswerable because there is a lot of different reasons some people will disagree and some people will agree but for my opinion number one is religion there God has to be on top. number 2 power some people just believe they are better then other people. number 3 money there is just to much greed in this world and number 4 oil this all means any resources but currently it is oil and water people will kill for these things it is whats needed to survive.

    People tend to be self serving and judgemental. People tend not to like change or different opinions. I would suggest it is mostly insecurity on the part of the individual. Until people realize there is more to life by embracing the greater good.

    The way we are raised. Case in point is Israelites groomed to think Palestinians are state enemies..and Palestinians raised to hate the other claiming they stole their property.
    
    People who are raised in a loving atmosphere and able to permeates that into their mind, the chance of hate developing would be minimal.

    The main reason for all the pain and hatred that you find in the world today is the race for power and money. People don't hesitate to even kill for the sake of acquiring wealth or power.
    
    Meditation courses are meant to teach people how to love fellow humans. Love can bring about miracles in life. It is the only way to reduce the pain and create peace in human minds.
