I got a couple of these as gifts, and I use them (and my other reusable water bottles) all the time. I hate the thought of using a water bottle once and throwing it away.

I'm not such a fan because...

      Polar Bear Sigg Bottle

This SIGG bottle is a customer favorite! Features a cute baby polar bear drifting on an iceberg chunk. A reminder of the urgency of reducing our plastic use (to curb global warming and emissions), the polar bear has been put on the endangered species list, and is a worldwide symbol of our need to change. With each beverage bottle that you prevent from being used, you'll be saving 1.2 pounds of greenhouse gases from being released. Read more about the true cost of bottled water on this remarkable post.

In terms of durability, SIGG has the competition beat. They hold up to abuse, and actually are crack resistant. Click through any product to read more about the specifics of these authentic SIGG bottles. They also have a lifetime warranty!

The SIGG bottle recall of 2008

SIGG did have a recall in 2008. Any bottles made before August 2008 were recalled because the liner did have some traces of BPA. However, since that point, SIGG has made good on all of their old bottles, and rid their bottles of any remnants of BPA. If you purchased a bottle before the recall of '08, you can mail the bottle back to the company for a new one.

I like your lens a lot, partly because it promotes reusing water bottles and I can't stand the wastefulness of one-use, throw-away bottles, and also because it looks great. The two bottles like this that I have are plain colors, but I like them and use them--that is, REuse them--all the time when I'm hiking or just sitting here at my desk.
