Earthday and What is Wrong with our Planet Earth?

Updated on December 14, 2014

We are at War with the Earth

One might ask whether Earth Day does any good to stop the rot and save the planet from disaster? While trees are dying of their own accord, which scientists have put down to global warming, pollinating insects who play a vital role in our environment are dying out. One of these species is bees and farmers in the USA are looking to import hives from elsewhere. But trees are being cut down by multi-millionaires or billionaires for money while the rest of us will die as a consequence.

People make money by destroying the things that keep us alive. Jobs are more important than preserving life and what we are doing in response to man-made systems is too deeply entrenched to stop.

If one could only shake non-caring humans out of their complacency and turn their minds to important matters we might save the earth. There is an unscrupulous power at work, however, robbing them of their minds and common sense, It's called MONEY and it alone has sent many to their deaths in search of it and others to their demise because some of its followers have no respect for life, the planet or anything else.

Imagine a World Without Fish, Birds, Animals or Plants.

That is something we can only think about as we would never survive to see it. Already the fish are dwindling, the plants are dying, and the birds are struggling. Animals are being wiped out at an enormous rate globally as their habitats are destroyed, their forests are felled, and rivers are made undrinkable with pollution.

The powers that be are focused only on jobs and making money. The more people there are the more they like it because they think it will mean more revenue. The reality is that with more people comes more loss and eventually there will be no more of anything. A stand of magnificent trees in the southern regions of Australia, that took hundreds of years to grow, have died in the space of just 2 weeks. No one poisoned or ring barked them and there the weather conditions should have been favourable to them.

The scientists are stunned! It is more than global warming now as we have probably turned the corner on what we can do to save the planet.
