How To Help Feed the Poor, the Hungry and the Destitute with Christian Charity
How You Can Help Feed the Poor, the Hungry and the Destitute in 2012
I am continuously amazed at how blessed I am!
I have my health; a home; clothes to wear; enough food to eat everyday in addition to a loving and supportive family.
So how did I get so lucky? How did I not fall through the cracks?
With all the advancements, education and capabilities that our world has, why are there still people going hungry everyday?
Throughout this page I will be sharing of charities, organizations and programs that are helping to feed those that have no means of daily food, live in destitution and continuously lift their voices for help with the hope someone will hear them.
I will be sharing with you how you can help make a difference through volunteering or donations of either your time or money.
If you are feeling lead to make a difference then read on and see how these charities, organizations and programs may be a first step for you. By all means feel free to share this information to help create awareness.
"One person can not do it all, but one person can make a difference."
Helping Others In Need
Matthew 25:40 Jesus says "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these, you did for me."
It is by our very core christian values that we have a calling and yearning to help others in need, to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
Christ has given us a great commission to such a task in Matthew 22:39
I am here to provide a path for you if you feel drawn to help somewhere.
There are many, many great organizations doing wonderful work all over the world. These are just a few that my family and I are involved in.
These organizations are doing good works among the people they serve and there is always room for more help by volunteering, spreading awareness and donations.
So if you will allow me, I'd like to share with you these organizations and programs that are providing means of aid for their brothers and sisters in need.
I invite you to follow along and learn more? There's plenty of room for more.
"We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee." 'quote by: Marian Wright Edelman'

Plumpy' Nut Project
1 Corinth 13:13 'And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.'
A child dies nearly every 6 seconds in Africa due to malnutrition. Very shocking statistics given our present day capabilities.
But Plumpy' Nut is helping to change that.
Plumpy' Nut is a packaged peanutty paste that provides nutritional vitamins and minerals to extreme malnourished children, getting them back to a stage to be able to consume food again .
The packs are distributed to some of the most devastated areas where children do not receive proper food or clean water.
If you notice in this picture of this beautiful bright eyed child, their hair is orange which is an indication that there is a lack of protein in their diet. But by getting these packs of built in vitamins in their hands it is helping many children come back from the brink of death.
Just Jewelry, a Christian based jewelry company out of Ohio, added to their collection and missions a 'Faith, Hope and Love' bracelet. The sell of each bracelet contributes to the aid of millions of starving children.
With the purchase of this charming bracelet, two 'Plumpy' nut' packets are contributed to the aid of the program. Your purchase helps to sustain a life of a malnourished child and redefines jewelry as 'jewelry with a purpose'.
These packets are administered through 'Doctors without Borders' foundation, just one of many organizations helping to fight this battle.
If you would like to find out more on Plumpy'nut; and how to purchase a 'Faith, Hope & Love' bracelet visit Just Jewelry for more information.
