forthcoming terrorist strike from our government in the name of Al-Qaida in any of our cities? The fact that the threat comes from the Saudi peninsula and that the Saudi house is our friend, what is the probability for a terrorist act to happen with their complicity on our soil? Remember Sept11, it was announced the so-called Saudi participation, the man to kill Osama Bin Laden was Saudi. If I draw a parallel I bet you that given our apathism and absence of fierce condemnation of Syria given the economical interests at stake that a major attack will occur on our soil.
Do you think it may, will or never occur?
Who knows?
The current Government is so wishy-washy and lacking in transparency that we don't know what to believe anymore!
It could be a legitimate warning.
Or...considering this Government, it could be part of a plan of fear tactics leading up to September 11th, to somehow allow Obama to "save" America with his great ingenuity and negotiation skills! LOL.
I think it's inevitable that it will happen IF the terrorists think they can get away with it. And once again, considering how soft Obama is on terrorists, they're likely to think just that!
And actually..........a major terrorist attack already happened. The Boston bombing. Remember?
So.....I think it's likely that any other attack that's likely to come will probably be, once again, from "sleeper" terrorists who we've allowed to come live in our Country and given them benefits and rolled out the red carpet for them.
Yes, terrorists will continue to attack, especially if they feel they can do so with a lack of consequences. What was our reaction to Benghazi? How many of the perpetrators have we apprehended or killed? The answer(s) to these two questions loops back to my topic sentence.
The U.S. government needs to reinforce fear in the American public. Especially when it is proven that they have no regard for the rule of law.
"We will damn well do what we want, now get under yer beds, we protectin ya!"
Somehow they feel that causing alarm will dissuade the public from acting out against their actions! Eek, a terrorist threat. What color is the threat this time?
Since the economical crisis is ruling our lives, American interests on the international scene are the least of our worries. But fear has to be part and parcel of our daily life that is the message of our government. Since Al-Qaeda has been at least for a decade on the market I am wondering why it does still exist given the defense budget . Maybe because it is us. Maybe because it does serve us. Maybe it is a convenient weapon to scare us when necessary. I guess, now is the moment to remove Al-Qaeda from the CIA closet?
I guess you would rather have attacks and get to go on about them for the next two years while nothing gets done in government.
It's not only the US who closed embassies. Canadian and British embassies also closed due to perceived threats against the West.
Since those foreign countries NEVER attacked us, yes that's what I want. Given that more and more my compatriots are questioning the reason of being of the NSA, I understand why they are pretending to monitor the pulse of Al-Qaeda terrorism worldwide. If this organization was successful none of the killing sprees that we recently experienced would have happened on our soil by our citizens. If it was efficient America and American interests meaning American people and not American companies would be safe. I strongly believe that that there is a strong bond linking those secretive agencies (NSA, CIA) and Al-Qaeda. Few years ago a MI6 agent and an Irish investigative reporter stated factually that Al-Qaeda was US made.
By "alerting" us on the forthcoming danger the NSA is trying to justify its existence and competence. We need to reform agencies that think that they are above the law. We need them to be accountable to us, not to the president who is a puppet.
Everybody knows that the Canadians as well as the English are US puppets.
FBI officials are concerned about too much news of the threat being released.
US Government-Funded Domestic Propaganda Has Officially Hit The Airwaves
The U.S. government's mammoth broadcasting arm has begun the "unleashing of thousands of hours per week of government-funded radio and TV programs for domestic U.S. consumption," John Hudson of Foreign Policy reported on Sunday.
The content arrives with the enactment of the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, sponsored by Rep. Mac Thornberry (R- Texas) and Rep. Adam Smith (D- Wash.), which was inserted into the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

It has begun!
A bipartisan effort, something all of government can agree on. Oppression of the people by any means necessary!
Exclusive: U.S. directs agents to cover up program used to investigate Americans
(Reuters) - A secretive U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration unit is funneling information from intelligence intercepts, wiretaps, informants and a massive database of telephone records to authorities across the nation to help them launch criminal investigations of Americans.
Although these cases rarely involve national security issues, documents reviewed by Reuters show that law enforcement agents have been directed to conceal how such investigations truly begin - not only from defense lawyers but also sometimes from prosecutors and judges.
The undated documents show that federal agents are trained to "recreate" the investigative trail to effectively cover up where the information originated, a practice that some experts say violates a defendant's Constitutional right to a fair trial. If defendants don't know how an investigation began, they cannot know to ask to review potential sources of exculpatory evidence - information that could reveal entrapment, mistakes or biased witnesses.
"I have never heard of anything like this at all," said Nancy Gertner, a Harvard Law School professor who served as a federal judge from 1994 to 2011.

Drone strikes kill militants in Yemen; Americans urged to leave
CNN) -- A pair of suspected U.S. drone strikes killed four al Qaeda militants in Yemen as the United States maintained a heightened security alert in the country and urged all Americans to leave immediately.
Security sources told CNN about the strikes but didn't offer additional details. A Yemeni official said four drone strikes have been carried out in the past 10 days.
None of those killed on Tuesday were among the 25 names on the country's most-wanted list, security officials said.

Of course only militants were killed? Cuz U.S. Bombs know the difference ya'c! When will the Yemeni war end? Oh that's right, there is no war in Yemen! We just committing overzealous war crimes! Buh-buh muh national security!
Get ready for this. . . I actually agree with President Obama on this one. We don't need to have embassies in every corner of the world. It costs too much. If we're not going to provide adequate security, get out of the region. If we're not going to hunt down and kill people who attack us, we can expect even more attacks. Our presence in these regions, coupled with our head in the sand, can lead to additional foreign entanglements. Do it right, or get out. I guess it's time to get out of the region, and I support the move.
Perhaps we should do more. Maybe we should consider #USFirst and end our funding of foreign powers. Would it not make sense that U.S. cities should be considered too big to fail? Consider, we have no idea how much of Americas wealth is being funneled to foreign banks and corporations so that they may remain viable! Meanwhile the U.S. infrastructure is decaying, our internal businesses are struggling, our cities are crumbling, and the people are hurting.
Yeah, I have absolutely no problem with what you said. It makes sense. +1
Better idea here, why not removing our worldwide military bases too!
"a criminal faction within the US Government is continuing the illusion that "homegrown Al Qaeda forces are the terrorist" from which US war policies are shaping events of perpetual warfare since it's first creation in Pakistan, to the overthrow Muammar Ghaddafi in Libya, and is now targeting Bashar Al-Assad in Syria, and will eventually target Iran. This is a British/Saudi/US operation."

In this propagandist campaign in the New York subway, is it Israel or America the client (the American Freedom Defense Initiative), the citizens should feel concerned? And why would this be?
