Given it was not proven that the Syrian government was involved in the Ghouta attack, why would they have to dismantle their chemical arsenal whereas few miles away a greater danger is shadowing the whole middle east (Israel's arsenal) without measures to be taken? In a futuristic peaceful vision of a middle east wouldn't it be better if a deterrent force existed to balance the Israeli power?
That's a fair question which U.S. politicians don't want to touch. Israel and conservatives in the U.S. moan about Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program, but nobody wants to talk about Israels big stockpile of nuclear weapons.
Instead of creating fake enemies maybe we should eye first the terrorists since Israel as most of the people don't know it has a heavy terrorist past. In that logic, I have never understood why we are so prompt to behead countries that really don't represent a real danger besides their economical wealth, and meanwhile Israel keeps on bombing Lebanon without impunity, for instance?
It is true that in the vertical power Israel has its pawns well placed in our government, if I follow my reasoning it is time for a counter political organization to rise and smoothen the angles of an obvious US-Israeli hegemony. In fact, what would be valid for one, should be for the other, no double standard as it is often reflected.
Sir! You're beating a dead horse...Israel has more control and influence in our country and in our government than our owned President! How can Israel feel threaten by Iran and Syria for that matter; and possess hundreds of nuclear weapons while steal demanding the U.S. taxpayers protection. Iran has not started a war in 1000 years! One can cry wolf only for so long and Israel feels threaten if its not the center of attention in the Middle East; and now--feels even more threaten--now that Iran is agreeing to have discussions.
I agree with you but I can't help expressing my anger facing our discrepant behavior on depending who we are dealing with. If Syria has to dismantle its arsenal so shall Israel. Given the sensitive object of their research, they appear to me as a danger to humanity. Their research focus on the eradication of races through biological weapons.
As for America it always supported its interest. One day Israel won't matter to us anymore, then we will wave bye, bye.
I can think of at least one major difference between the two--a history of having used them. It was proven to my satisfaction. And the coincidence that the exact same stuff was used on their people seems good enough reason not to make them continue to live with that possibility. IMHO even if innocent the government should volunteer to get rid of it on that basis alone.
If the rebel groups are ever found to have a facilities that make or store this stuff, I will eat every hat in Chicago.
And if you are calling countries out just for having it, dollars to donuts the US has some of this stuff. I vote we all get rid of it. But I can only really lobby for that in my own country.
Once again you don't know what you are talking about as I refer to biological you are alluding to chemical. They NEVER did, what a lack of objectivity? What about the phosphorous gas against the Palestinians? So you are justifying their use of chemical weapons because in a moment M of their history they were gazed? Then since we threw napalm bombs on Vietnamese, it would be fair that Massachusetts experience it too? How absurd is it?
Then start eating them now! After all we are supporting them. Please stop making unfounded allegations, it only shows your lack of information and of reflection.
I believe that the control of a big country economically and militarily as the United States in the forty things in the world is the reason, the United States supports Israel in a very large , Israel gets more aid from the United States at all, the Israeli nuclear program is far from the control of the world , the United States is the largest funder , the Organization of the United Nations , and all affiliated organizations , in addition to Israel's ability to communicate with the owners of capital within the United States , and certainly the owners of capital are Funders in U.S. elections , by virtue of their support for the operations of the election campaign, in fact, is a network of interests is very complex, harm the United States more than help her

Let's say Israel hadn't bombed the Syrian nuclear program into oblivion decades ago, or the world lets Iran develop nuclear capability and they ship some suitcase nukes to Assad, or North Korea sneaked some in. In any case, what I am posing is what if Assad had tactical nukes. Now,...

According to my source of information, those children were the ones who were kidnapped by djihadists. Experts are stating that they didn't die from sarin attacks since the symptoms don't correspond. In one word, we armed those dogs that killed those innocent angels. And God bless America right?...

It just happened in Syria and guess who did it? The so-called Free Syria Army. Most of the victims were civilians! But what do we care? We are so far!Where do those chemical weapons come from if not from the West? Since radical islamists possess chemical weapons with our blessing why did we make a...

Are we (the USA) really going to launch an unprovoked attack upon Syria? Really?Obama said a long time ago if the Syrian regime used chemical weapons in Syria it would cross a line. The last thing Asaad wanted was to have USA involvement. So, it makes no sense...
