Is there anything more annoying than "open your eyes" as a euphamism for "agree with me"? Yikes.

Simple: his plan and voice said his planis better than McCain's. no better competitor so you are left with your new commander in-chief.  Support your chief or keep quiet.
    what happened to loyalty?.
    is it because of race?
And if your strategy is so great why aren't you in Politics?
OR are you just another republican criticizing why your party lost.
Get out of the separatist & criminal politics movement and support the party who won, the people, and the communty where you live. Make a difference insteadof criticizing th eleaders at the top. Anyone could criticize any president's actions ornon-action during their lifetime.
America has been falling since the republican idiots wanted Clinton out for an intern scandal. Things got much, much worse with Bush and his snickering wiley crooked team.
Gore should;ve won and you know it.
Maybe America would be very different today. Maybe 9-11 wouldv'e never happened, so no Iraq, no Afghanistan, etc.

Bush's administration will be regarded as the worst of all time evading questions, hiding documents, breaking 100's of federal laws, deception, you name it. He sounded sincere in his speeches but the outcome was just terrible and embarassing to Americans.

How can one person destroy a whole nation, whether he is President or commoner? If the majority of people think he is on the destructive path, wont they rise up and remove him? Certainly Obama is doing his best to create confidence in America. He may not be successful to expectations... but he will be remembered as the one who restored confidence in Americans when economy failed miserably!

Obama is doing his best to put America back together after Bush nearly destroyed it. See Dan Froomkin's last column for the Washington Post here:

The problem is Obama IS doing his best. Go back to 1967 in Chicago and find out whose ideology Obama follows. The woman now teaches at CUNY.

Do you have any friend's out of work? There will be more. Unemploymentin California is now 12.2%

Maybe the President after Obama will gain all the high-fives. He has an insurmountable task. some of the biggest financial institutions falling before he took office & the real estate debacle. Some of the best soothsayers, BEFORE  these failures say we will not really see a recovery until 2015 or 2016. Look at the unrest in China. think that won't happen here.? just let unemployment hit the teens. Get ready for riots and curfews if those stats do appear. After all, criminals are being let out early due to state budget financial deficits.
Will they get a job in this market if you can't?

Exactly.  Why is it you liberals assume that anyone who doesn't agree with you is a conservative?  I'm a libertarian, that means something quite different.  You might want to acquaint yourself with the difference.  But I forgot, you're a liberal, why muck things up with facts.

  12. ledefensetech profile image70

I'm a rational thinking person, Ralph, I don't need a leader. I'm perfectly capable of making decisions for myself.  You might be infantile enough to need a leader, I'm not.

Give Ralph crap. A harvard grad (like most) thinks he knows everything. Appointed by President Clinton, he liked Lewinsky also, very bad taste. Government jobs means squat to me, look where the country is.

That explains it then.  I'm not sure if they really believe the crap they spew or just re-neducate people.  It's an academic question really, the results are, as we've seen, horrid.

Obama hasn't even been in office for one year, give him a chance before condemning him. This country did not start on a downward spiral overnite so how can it recover overnite.

Because of all the campaign promises he made.  People expect results from the "Messiah".  After all he is the one that made it sound like electing him would be the "be all end all" to our problems.
If he can't walk the walk, then he shouldn't talk the talk.

President Obama is just the picture on the box. You have to read the ingredients to understand what's inside. This is not about individuals or parties. Our constitution is being torn asunder. We need to get past the parties and think about how we can fix our country. We need to hold our elected officials accountable and stand up for ourselves and our children. Pointing fingers is pointless.

No, he's not destroying America. His predecessor did.

Just give it some time. And if Obama's bailouts end up having a postive effect on the economy in about a year or two, then adjust your opinion of him.

Bush Administration Debated Using Military in Terrorism Arrests

Top Bush administration officials in 2002 debated testing the
Constitution by sending American troops into the suburbs of
Buffalo to arrest a group of men suspected of plotting with
Al Qaeda, according to former administration officials.

Some of the advisers to President George W. Bush, including
Vice President Dick Cheney, argued that a president had the
power to use the military on domestic soil to sweep up the
terrorism suspects, who came to be known as the Lackawanna
Six, and declare them enemy combatants. Mr. Bush ultimately
decided against the proposal to use military force.
