Does the Obama administration bear any responsibility for the delay in containment of the oil spill?

yes he do and congress and pass president for many many years they let the oil company do what they want and even give the oil company over 40 billion dollars a years in grants which is tax payers money. if you remember the 1 st  stimulus money  the Federal government gave out was the 1 time gas when over $2 a gal, and when the government gave money the price of gas when up , its a one sided relationship with the Federal Government and the oil company against the American people and it has to stop. this  massive oil pollution is a major treat to American way of life and all because when you have money you can do what you want regardless of who get hurt or killed. the best way in American to get away of killing people, get  rich and pay into the president and congress campaign election fund.

Sure, they should have put on their fishing bibs and waded out into the ocean and grabbed animals, washed them and helped with containment themselves.  They should also put guns to the heads of execs and CEO's of companies every time something goes wrong in Corporate America that might make them look bad so that people hurry faster.  Then we could have a government that would feel comfortable at a tea party with Castro because they would have so much in common.

    Of course not.

It is obviously in the best interests of the administration (and of our planetary ecology) to expedite containment of the oil spill, so it would have happened already if the means existed.

It's all the fault of George W. Bush.  Nancy Pelosi agrees with this message.

    Yes. All of it.

It's like Rahm Emanuel - former White House Chief of Staff said: "Never let a serious crisis go to waste. What I mean by that is it's an opportunity to do things you couldn't do before."

It became the perfect crisis for them to use to pass Cap and Trade.
