   Interesting combo... not sure how much its gonna help McCain. I mean its only really gonna help him with moderates and I feel like hes already got them locked up pretty tight. I don't think an endorsement from a flaming liberal is going to get him very far with conservatives...

      Lieberman, for a "flaming liberal" (and the last one of any real consequence was Bobby Kennedy!) certainly tows-the-line, goosestep after goosestep, to the tune of the Bush Administration's pro-Zionist policies. Oh, that's right...Kerry discovered his Jewish roots last Presidential Campaign, and Hillary has a nice picture of her in front of the Israeli flag, and, prior to Presidential Race 2000, Bush was wearing a yamaka while he kissed the Wailing Wall! Hmmm...a racist state built upon the merging of religion, politics, and divine right...sounds like Nazi Germany in different drag, to me...

            Fact: Kerry - Said he discovered he was Jewish when he ran in '04
            Fact: Hillary - Photos in front of Israeli Flag

                  You have not yet engaged in any debate whatsoever, rather have simply chosen to invoke an age-old, thread-bare and absolutely exhausted scarecrow of antisemitism in an effort to, pursuant to heretofore tried-and-true methods, relegate anything not fitting within your particular world-view into the corner.
                  
                  I do thank you, however, for proving what I always say correct:  Israel defenders confronted with facts that cannot be countered will simply resort to mud-slinging. Further, your very viewpoint on this matter is subject to high scrutiny. Your choice of colleges reveals your pro-Israeli bias based on the simple fact that "Christianity," (whether what Christ actually espoused or what passes for X-tianity in this country, and they *are* quite different!) posits as a major tenet the sanctity of the so-called "Holy Land." Indeed, before I even looked you up I knew you were either Christian (real or hypocrite) or Jewish. It's good to be right. I recognize your techniques anywhere.
                  
                  Thus arguing with you is much like arguing with a died-in-the-wool theoretician, everything anyone says is automatically "filtered" through what you think is "The Great Truth." Anytime you wish to counter my above-listed facts, all of which are easily verifiable, with facts of your own countering them, I, and everyone else here, I'm sure, would be most pleased to listen.    I have a thought.  That ticket would set America back another 50 years.  You couldn't find a worse ticket.  How long do you intend to allow the Republicans to rape the middle class and ruin our economy?  The only way to get this country back on track is to elect Obama.

   It's true that Lieberman has generally supported the Democrats on domestic issues. However, according to Wikipedia, Lieberman and Lynne Cheney joined to support the founding of the American Council of Trustees and Alumni affiliated with Campus Watch a neocon think tank. ACTA attempts to intervene in course content and teaching at universities. Also, he opposed filibustering against Bush's right wing Supreme Court and federal court nominees. Lieberman is a strong supporter of free trade. Most importantly, Lieberman was co-chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) which is a centrist organization within the Democratic Party. So, it's not accurate to call Lieberman a liberal or a Democrat. I believe he now calls himself an independent.

   Politico...I think I heard someone on the media trying to hustle a McCain/Lieberman ticket.  In any case, I am from Connecticut and one of many democratic voters who would love to boot Lieberman out of the party.  At this point he is a crypto-republican anyway.  I wouldn't be surprised if he even takes up neo-con supply side economics some day.

      That may be but that ticket is HIGHLY unlikely and would most likely lose horribly. It would be an incredibly unbalanced ticket.
      
      Also Lieberman isn't part of the democratic party anymore he is technically an independent. Again just because he is smart enough to be for the war and just because he occasionally works with republicans doesn't mean hes in any way a conservative. In fact the last time I heard he votes the democratic party line 90% of the time...
