Here are the cons:
1. Your country is a laughing stock to the rest of the world.
Why? because you have allowed criminals to trick law abiding citizens into becoming murderers
2. Its generally people with learning difficulties that get executed
Why? Because the police are thick as pig shit and those are the only people they can catch.
3. Its usually the poor who get executed
Why? Because in the USA, if you can't afford a fancy lawyer you lose,
4. Often innocent people get executed
Why? Because a population that supports the death penalty is too stupid to understand the meaning of justice and can only understand revenge. In their blood lust, they don't give a damn who they kill. Oh yes, and they always call themselves Christians, so they think that if they f**k up, God will sort it out in heaven.
I see writer268 supports judicial murder because its cheap. What a prick.
Why don't you do the other "pros"?
The reason we have a death penalty is that contrary to what you've heard, so do most other nations. That being said, we can't afford to keep crminials locked up forever. What is needed is morality. Parents don't teach their kids squat anymore. A close family with family values, brings forth kids that don't commit crimes. And, I don't want to hear all that disadvantaged minority crap. I grew up in a poor white family in the country with no electricity until I was 8. My dad was a drunk, my mom was tough, but not tough enough. But we had one thing going for us, my grandfather was great, and so was a neighbor, who taught me good values. My dad had good values too, he just couldn't get past the drinking. I saw the same things in so many other people. I had good adults involved in my life all the time, plus all my friends were the same. Not one of my childhood friends has ever gone to jail. Society can't fix this. Only parents and God can do it. The death penalty doesn't deter crime anyway. get rid of it.
PRO: That criminal will never, ever be able to commit that crime again.
CON: If they're wrong, the state will never, ever be able to undo their error.

What are your views on the death penalty? While I do believe that some people should be put to death, the risk of sending an innocent person to death is too great. I think either the requirements for the death penalty should be higher or is should be banned. What do you think?
