    Will Immigration reform pass?

I wrote a hub on this and I would like to just get the opinion of others in this community

It depends on if this is truly "reform," or a vote gathering effort on the part of our elected representatives.  My guess is they are far more concerned with votes than actual reform.  The Immigration system has needed a reform for many years, but I doubt it will happen.  Is it any wonder we have so many undocumented persons in this country when the system makes in nearly impossible to do it the right way?

Eventually...yes.  But it won't look like reform.  It will be simply away for people who broke the law to jump in front of people like my sister in-law who cam here from Columbia and used all the proper legal channels to become a citizen.  Any legislation written into a bill to secure out national border within any reasonable expectations won't be enforced anyway.  We already have laws about crossing the border.  If we don't enforce the current law, why would we enforce the future laws.  Neither party wants to secure anything.   They only want to pander for votes to an increasing demographic.

The current immigration system didn't work  and we know this by the large amount of  undocumented immigants  that are currently present. This bill adds millions more to border security to the current spending which is at an all time high.

That's because gov't is intentionally wasteful.  There is no reason why we can't secure our border but we can spend billions on planes to send to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, or sworn enemies. Amnesty without protecting sovereignty is no solution

Hopefully not, for The sake of our country...In the first place, we do not need “a new Immigration Law”; we have a perfectly good one in place right now, IT JUST NEEDS TO BE ENFORCED! This is not about ethnicity; it’s about right and wrong! I'm sick of those who yell "racial profiling". If you’re in this country illegally, you have broken our federal immigration laws and that is WRONG!

If you have stolen, bought or forged a Social Security card, you have broken another federal law. If an employer knowingly hires an illegal immigrant and is paying wages under the table, they both have violated federal/state laws. Why in the hell should we reward these people with Amnesty for breaking our laws?

If an American Citizen, violates our laws we pay the price. Amnesty sends a wrong message to the world and that is the reason we are facing the problem of abusive border invasion by foreigners once again. The only thing that will stop this is prosecution and deportation! If you want to come to America, do it the right way --- LEGALLY!

Enforcing the current immigration bills would mean deporting 11 million people which is impossible and hurts the economy. The new bill would do just the opposite. Just remember your forefathers might be one of those who came here illegally.

It doesn't have to.  It could just mean enforcing it first on our borders going foward before we give out citizenship to those who broker the law.  Can't speak for others, but my family came here from sicily legally and followed the rules as citizens
